While you are correct in that he’s probably better off than most people, I don’t think there’s a financial cut off line for sympathy of any kind. He will likely be uprooted and even potentially jobless. It does suck for a guy that we’ve been rooting for. We don’t have to compare it to anything else.

No we don't and that is my point and my beef with the tweet.

It's sport. People move teams all the time. White knows this as well as anyone, he spent the last couple of years bouncing between AAA and MLB.

He has always been a bubble guy, he must always have been prepared for this happening or being part of a trade.

It’s just a person that knows the experience venting. No big deal.

I’d say that Tyler White knows the drill and understands it. I’m almost 100% sure he even knew this was coming sometime in the next week. These guys aren’t dummies. Still sucks for him.

I don't get it. Everyone on this board (including me) took shots at White, and now the usual sanctimonious few are taking this phony moral stand. ****ing ridiculous.

Ok, if you didn't take shots at white that's fine. That wasn't really the point. He deserved the shots he got, and people should be able to react to that twitter rant by his gf, or however that was, without being shamed. I know you understood that to have been my point, even if you didn't agree with it.

Fair. But, then I will point out that their sanctimony in reacting to that reaction is hypocritical.

162 games is a long season. Any player can have a good month. I believe in patience.

It’s pretty obvious Alex is on the block.

I'll have to check the book, but I think that is acceptable terminology.

He was struggling. I too was hoping for a John Kruk type but it never happened. I do believe he was pressing and this coulda led to his struggles. Way too many rally killing at bats with Tyler.

I really was pulling for him as I think everyone on here was. Didn’t work out and it’s kinda sad. It’s also life. Still ok to feel a bit sad for his situation.

Context is important. At the time I responded, White was not the weakest player on the team.

It's weird to see the godfather be so off with a take! (JK, JK.)

I hate to see anyone lose a job. With that said, this is 100% the right move. Now we wait to see what transpires between Straw and Kemp. Not real point of rehashing this White situation. Everyone knew it was coming and I think everyone here hopes to see him land on his feet.

Kemp has 7 bombs in limited ab’s. He’s slugging a respectable .425 and he can run. He’s a scrappy hitter and ideal for our 9 spot in the order. Spot starts at 2b, LF, and dh. Plus, he’s a solid pinch hitting and pinch running option.
