U guys are awesome and this thread is going to be useful, been eating out non-stop for like 6 months now...
Man....I'm disappointed it didn't come out better for you. Getting it seasoned right is a must, so maybe that was it. When it's all finished, I'll sometimes mix in some flour to thicken it up and make it more gravy-like (ladle out some of the broth and add the flour separately....then mix it back into the whole thing....this prevent lumps). But don't give up on this recipe. You'll get it how you like it and you'll love it. This is a great one for cold weather:
