I searched my girlfriend's name --- I am adsociated with her.

Wow. That's pretty accurate. DaDakota indeed has multiple accounts, all of them associated with DMo and VSpan.

And as we all suspected, Brewer is listed as bff for JBB.

Don't mean to scare anyone, but DO NOT follow the opt-out directions in the OP from your home computer. That will associate you with an IP address.

Do it from a cafe or something.

and btw: the fact the site says "Will take 48 hours for opt-out to take affect" seems rather suspicious to me. Per snopes, it's scraping from public records, so either it stores it and can instantaneously flag the account as "private" or it scrapes dynamically per visit, so you just blacklist the name from future searches....rather simple. 48 hours to achieve that is bulls1t....combined with the fact they don't give a crap about sharing your identity,,,this is highly likely an unscrupulous domain. What company with any notion of ethics provide this info so easily?

I'm tempted to say my advice would be to do nothing.

Don't opt-out, don't search for your name even. If you don't like public records like Voter Registration to be scrapeable by unscrupulous sites like this, call your congressman. As snopes says, opting out of sites like this is whack-a-mole stuff. This one just got popular by a Facebook scare campaign...again unscrupulous.

 

Hopefully after the 2nd chip and not during the bad stretch that season, hahah
