That one just reminds me too much of the whole Rocket's pajama jerseys. I also do not want the color scheme to change a whole lot. I like the Stros having main color in the red to orange range.
Why would he care what fans think. I didn't see anyone reaching out to us and asking what we thought about moving to the AL.
I think it was extremely well known what Houston fans thought about moving to the AL. Unfortunately, Crane couldn't have done anything about it short of not buying the team. I can't blame him for that. If it weren't Crane, someone else would've eventually made the buy and agreed to do it. If Bud Selig wants it, it's going to happen.
That would be my ideal. Some homage to the history of this team and the fans that have been with it for decades would be nice, given the fact we're being uprooted.
I know that is what Crane and friends are trying to sell you to try and get you to forgive him, but I'm not sure it is true. The reason the Astros were chosen was because the sale happened right before the new CBA was signed, and moving a team in order to get an extra playoff team was part of the CBA negotiations. If the deal had fallen through, Selig would still have had to move a team before the CBA was signed. At that point he would have had to look at other options. There wasn't time to find another buyer before the new CBA was signed, and the deal had been prearranged with concessions to the player's union to get that extra playoff game. Certainly McClane wouldn't be tripping over himself to move the team to another league for his "friend" who had just killed his sweetheart deal. And especially if is isn't true - that the team wouldn't have moved if Crane's deal had fallen through - it is in Crane's vital interest to convince you that it is true given fan outrage. He needs to convince you that even if he had fallen on his sword he couldn't have done anything, and that he was just a poor blameless victim of circumstance.
If they fuse that with the current or 90's logo, I could dig it. I think the open star design has been the best logo. Just have the name in those colors and font on the chest, then the open star logo on one sleeve and the helmet.
Had a little time and did some more on the logo based on the feedback here. Tried another version working with the open star idea to give some sense of motion.
If they went with these, but kept our current color scheme, I think most fans would be happy. Anyone feel like photoshopping the colors?
I LOVE those uniforms. I think there's really unneccesary to put jersey numbers on front of uniforms. There should be jersey numbers and name on the back of uniforms. But if we had to put jersey numbers on the front of uniform, I want it to be on right side of the uniform, not on the left side. But I just tell you my opinion.
honestly, I have no clue what the Rangers look like. Until Ryan and Selig began their most recent screw job, I barely knew the Rangers existed.
