Imagine Kyrie asked for a trade back in June and Morey had the chance to make the exact same trade for either CP3 or Kyrie, who would you have preferred?

CP3 by a long shot. He can pass and defend amazingly.

We'd have the worst defensive backcourt ever.

CP3, by a landslide. This shouldn't even be a question worth entertaining. Irving is a shoot first "PG" who plays no defense, while Paul is a far better distributor than Irving and can also score just as effectively ON TOP of being a 1st team All-NBA on defense.

CP3. Why is this even a question? Chris Paul is a much better defender, he's also smarter, a better leader, and a better passer by a longshot.

Comparing CP3 to Kyrie is like comparing Lebron to Rudy Gay.

Chris Paul is the 2nd best PG in the league behind Curry. I'd take CP3 ahead of Westbrook as well

If you count Harden as PG then 3rd cuz Harden was the best point guard last season in the NBA

Kyrie Irving is barely a top 10 pg.

OP probably factored in age which doesn't make this CP3 by a landslide, regardless, i'd still take CP3.

For this team, this year? CP3

Kyrie would have been nice 3 years ago.

If that's the case, comparing CP3 and Kyrie is like comparing Lebron and Hayward.

I'd put cp3 and harden ahead of curry. I'd really like to see what he'd do on a team by himself. I'm not saying he'd be a scrub or anything but I don't think he'd have 2 mvp trophies.

Eh I get what you're saying but that's a tough comparison, LBJ is a much better player than CP3 and Kyrie is a better player than Hayward.

The gap in quality between CP3 & Kyrie is much smaller than the gap between Lebron & Hayward, but yes it'd be something like that.

    #2 behind Curry???

Curry isn't even in the same PG class as Harden... much less CP3. It's doubtful whether Curry is even a top 10 distributor.

CP3, Harden, Wall, Westbrook, LeBron, Teague, Lowry, Rubio, and Jurassic Rondo are all better facilitators than Curry.

Hell, even Draymond sees the floor better and averages more assists.

All that said, Kyrie still isn't a better PG than Curry so what are we even talking about??

id rather have 2-3 cp3 years of elite play than 5 of kyrie prime. Kyrie is not what the rockets need

The homerism in this thread is intense. Of course the poll is heavily tilted to cp3 in the rox forum. Same poll in a forum for a team who just landed kyrie and it would be just as heavily tilted to kyrie (nba champ, game 7 etc etc, younger etc).
