The only thing that matters is were the Blazers schmoozing Anderson? Hopefully Paul was telling Dame how kewl Anderson was and that we can get them out of the luxury tax.

Further proof the Rockets need to find a way to get James Johnson in a Rockets uniform.

You put Tucker and Johnson on the court together and no one is going to touch Paul or Harden.

That is like 550 pounds of nasty crazy on the court just looking for Dame/Chalmers to swipe at Paul or for Draymond to push Harden.

Maybe Dame was also asking Paul if he could teach him how to have heart....

    Unwritten rule of sportsmanship? Yes

Did CP3 probably regret it after it happened? Yes

Is it a dumb unwritten rule? Yes

Regardless of what @YOLO thinks, the Blazers were still playing, or pretending to. In fact, the Blazers scored at 48 seconds (Turner) - a 9 point Rockets lead before the score, 32 seconds (McCollum) - a 9 point Rocket lead before the score, and 20 seconds (McCollum) - a 9 point Rocket lead before the score. In fact, after the last score, the reason CP3 was open was because the Blazers tried to press and steal the inbound... in the process bumping CP3 (which could have... didn't but could have injured him... just like Lillard's useless swipe). Once the ball got advanced to Ariza, a Blazer went out to guard him even.

If there's going to be an unwritten sportsmanship rule... which is of course dumb... its incumbent on the losing team to give up a possession. They had not given up the last possession. I'm sure had they, the Rockets would have held the ball.

I once saw a dude bring a team back from down 13 with 35 seconds left. Is down 7 with 12 seconds less probable? Sure. But the losing team is the one trying to come back. It's on them to "quit" first.

The cherry on top of all of this... why is nobody mad at Ariza? Dude not only passed the ball to Paul, he then went on to steal the inbound. For one, because its not as exciting a story. For two, because clearly some folks on the Rockets thought better not f this up. Like they did the Celtics game. Which... yes, is relevant.

Bottom line: They were still trapping and fouling. It's not like they had all 5 defenders back and waiting for the clock to expire when CP3 made that layup.

Yeah this too. Answer: because Lillard ain’t gonna go bark at Ariza.

Turner? Is that right? Is he just “that guy” or does he have a beef with the Rockets?

Chris Paul was just rewarding everyone that had faith the Rockets would cover the spread which probably most consisted of Rockets fans. Good guy that guy.

When the shot clock is turned off, you have a 7 point lead and the defense is putting up token resistance (they were hardly guarding anyone) - yeah, Paul should have just ran it around and run out the clock - that's the sportsman like thing to do.

He didn't and maybe it's because he thought they were still playing and maybe it's because he really just wanted to score. Either way, it's not really that big of a deal.

If it was the other way around, I would have no problems with it. I don't think CP3 would have problems with it either.
