good question, but - - who the hey really cares? If it works, great. If it delivers a Parade, GREAT! But, there have been so many amazing backcourts, like Clyde/Pearl. Two ball dominant and remarkable giants in their day. They made it work so I believe in the prognosis of #s 3&13 together. I Believe!

Results to date are there for the eys to gander upon. However, beating GSW will take a great backcourt + great everyone else. The Ws are all-time. Man, they have a roster. Cavs have their King and a new band of princes. Ouch.

Plus, there are teams out there darned good to challenge along the spring iter to glory.

Toni Kukoc most definitely was not a backcourt player.

Jordan is undeniably better than Harden.
Chris Paul is undeniably much better than John Paxson (lol) or anyone else that played in the Bulls backcourt.

For Houston history? Absolutely. They need results in the big dance to earn it for all time though. The big difference with this backcourt is that the talent is distributed far far more evenly than other great ones

That's good. The question isn't comparing Jordan to Harden, but instead which is the best backcourt. You know, which has 2 players. Paxson and BJ Armstrong are nowhere near the level of the second guy in the all time great backcourts.

You call yourself a scientist, but the more I read your posts the less that I believe your science.

Can't you even pretend to be serious? Kukoc was a 3/4, not a 2 or a 1. With all respect due, you're nuts.

Mike has no peer . No point going there. The question should be has there been a better playmaking then this? No

I can't think of a tandem that's better. I mean you have the two best pg's (by assists) in the league now on the same team. I can't think of a team that would top them. Maybe Parker/Ginobili. But not really. You rarely see two premier guard let along point guards on a team like this.

For those saying Jordan/Paxson - sorry, you can't say Paxon is part of the greatest backcourt in league history no matter who he is paired with.

I think you have to go back to the 70's.

Zeke and Dumars were the best. Plus the Microwave off the bench.

But Beard, CP3 and EGo could dethrone them.
