Build a team from the 2000s that could have won championships playing small ball

    PG: Steve Nash
    SG: Ray Allen
    SF: Iguodala
    PF: T-Mac
    C: Antoine Walker?

That team didn't make all the other teams start doing small ball.

Walker and Iguodala aren't good enough 3pt shooters, and Walker was terrible at D. Assuming salaries aren't an issue, Paul Pierce and Garnett would be perfect. Pierce would be an ideal small ball 4, since he was unusually strong for a wing and a great 3pt shooter. Garnett could finish any lob and anchor the defense.

PG: Jason Kidd. Nash is a far far better shooter than Kidd but I'd like my own version of the 2000 small ball lineup to include a PG that can play both sides of the court. If I can cheat, I'll take the Nets-era Kidd with Dallas championship team shooting Kidd.
SG: Ray Allen. I wanted to go with Reggie, Kobe or Pierce here but Allen is an all-timer at 3 point shooting.
    SF: Tracy McGrady.
PF: Shawn Marion. He played D, grabbed rebounds, shot 3s.
C: Kevin Garnett. I don't care if he can't shoot 3s. You put prime KG on the floor right now and he would destroy Draymond and GSW

I think that team can switch on defense all game long and, between Kidd and Ray, you got enough efficient perimeter shooting to keep the other team honest. McGrady can be your scoring workhorse with Marion and Garnett pretty much locking down the paint without sacrificing athleticism and agility to switch.

Antoine Walker??? LOL. He was the symbol of 90's horrible basketball of guys that can't shoot. He shot 38% overall and 33% from 3's and he took 8 3's a game, which was a lot back then. We should make a team of current NBA players that would be MVP in the 90's.

Starting PG: Westbrook. Modern day version of guys that can't shoot, but he just keeps shooting. 47 FG attempt in a Playoff game???

I like that Kidd, Allen, TMAC, Marion, KG team though. That team would crush the Warriors with that length

I thought the JRich warriors were the original small ball team. The main reason small is working is Steph Curry is greatest shooter of all time. Replace him and what other teams are really successful with small ball.

The Rockets invented small ball by starting a center that is 6'6".

One problem is that Chuck is not a very good shooter.
