Dennis Rodman was a 2-time DPOY and made 7 All-Defense 1st teams, 1 All-Defense 2nd team, and even a couple All-NBA 3rd teams. He was a 2-time all-star. He led the NBA in rebounds per game for 7 consecutive seasons. Who else has done that other than Wilt Chamberlain?

Horry's lone individual honor was making All-Rookie second team.

Horry doesn't have a chance in hell of making it. I love him to death, but he'll never make it past the first rounds of the selection process.

Still not sure how Reggie Miller didn't get in this year.

Horry is someone I've always been torn on. Because of his role on those Rockets championship teams, he is a sentimental favorite of mine.

However, it always bothered me how he clearly coasted through the regular season and then showed up in All-Star form for the playoffs. I'm not sure that rewarding that kind of behavior with entry into the Hall of Fame would send the right message.

If Horry makes it, the HOF's credibility will be tarnished. He's simply not a HOF player.

Rodman, OTOH, is, and I've always thought so.

    lol...

Sam Cassell is like 5 times as likely to get in as Horry but he won't get in either.

There are about five players from the Rockets' championship teams I'd put in the HOF before Horry and I don't believe any of them deserve to be there either. In fact, if Rodman opens the door for Horry, I'd say Horry opens the door for Derek Fisher, which maybe helps to underline how silly the idea is in the first place.

Rodman, on the other hand, is a no-brainer. He belongs there without a doubt.

Put Horry in some kind of role-player-that-makes-big-3's-in-playoff-games HOF. He's in a class with dozens of others that would never be considered for the actual HOF with the distinction of his greatest achievement which was having had the luck to be in the right place at the right time.

A role player can not elected to Hall of Fame. Rodman was not a role player, but Horry was. I know I like Horry, and hate Rodman, but the chance for Horry to be elected for Hall of Fame is very low.

Why does Sportsradio 610 post a thread linking to discussion of a ridiculous topic? Is this supposed to make people want to listen to the station?

his stats are not HOF worthy and he never won ****

he'll get in eventually. part of the benefits of still being on tv and having had a few big games in NY where many of the voters live

Rodman was a role player and an impact player. Not mutually exclusive

Funny you mention that, I don't remember 610 doing much to intergrate Clutch into Rockets talk. 1560 activelly involves Clutchfans (Nuno even had me do "No layups" with him) Looks like a lame attempt to draw listeners.

Hey here's a hint, lose the Josh the D-bag maybe you'll get some listeners back.
