If the Coogs are blowing out Tulane by halftime or in the middle of the 2nd half, I think Coach Sampson should rest his starters for tomorrow's semifinal game to save some energy. I don't want UH to go through what UConn and Cincy did today. #HTownTakeover
Solid first half given the opponent. Got some rust off. Bigs haven't shown up yet on either end, seem to be slow to lift on rebounds and no post presence. But 8 point lead in a conference tournament game is a good place to be. Talent is winning out here. Think we breeze to win but would like to work on the inside a bit to get some confidence for next game. Which is the big one. The commentators have put every team in the conference into the tournament except us, lol, the 2 seed. Epic poetry gonna be written about this team.
I'm looking forward to our second round matchup vs High Point, lol. Georgia Tech will be a fun matchup, as would a South Carolina heat check. Does anyone know what our out of conference Schedule is for next year? The entire conference got in except for us and clearly this was the only reason we were held back. Are we ampin it up next year? Seems like every year the qualifiers change, RPI, Road Games, Bad Losses, SOS... but no reason Houston should be weak in any of them. We can compete. Personally did not think any of the Conference teams were actually very good this year from the American, all seemed to be lacking some offensive punch, so not picking, but I hope they do well as that helps us next year. Also worried about not having many good bigs next year, but our backcourt is strong.
