Oh man I'm so excited. Touch down, make a stop at a shop for some "refreshments," have a great dinner someplace and hit the venue.

Definitely don't feel like breaking out all my old fading ticket stubs to research counts. I did notice a while back they were fading and bleeding ink in the plastic sleeves of the Rush wallet they are in. Some are probably unreadable. lol

But, I've seen Rush around 12 times and that would be the most. Other headlining arena acts I've seen multiple times (nothing comes close to how many times I've seen Rush) are from the 80s era and shows include:

    Metallica
    Pink Floyd
    Judas Priest
    Triumph
    Iron Maiden
    Van Halen
    Ozzy
    AC/DC
    Aerosmith

The 80s were a great time to rock n roll. I miss those days.

I was working in the head shop at Texas Tapes and Records on Spencer Highway during the filming of that movie. We used to see their whole entourage cruising Spencer.

Anyone remember the Nesadel Club across from Gilley's? Good times.

That's awesome! I grew up in Southeast Houston and went to Gilley's. Not a lot, being a long haired hippie and all, but I had a cousin and some friends that were still "cowboys" at the time and I went with them. It was a trip and I survived! I remember Texas Records and Tapes, but not the Nesadel. Go figure. I may have bought something from you at Texas Records.

Was going through some of my old concert ticket stubs a few weeks ago (showing my kids).

The very first Texxas Jam on July 1, 1978 in the Cotton Bowl.

Van Halen (opening act around 10am)
    Head East
    Atlanta Rhythm Section
    Journey
    Heart
    Cheech and Chong (between act)
    Eddie Money
    Ted Nugent
    Aerosmith
    Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush

    All for $12.50

The next night back in Houston (July 2nd) I saw Aerosmith again backed up by AC/DC at the Summit.

    Price of ticket ($8.85)
