Let me guess, you're trying to install a video card? Either way, yes, there's a huge difference. An AGP slot on a motherboard is for a video card. An ISA slot is for any 16-bit device (including video cards). ISA slots are slowly being phased out by PCI slots (the white slots on most mobos nowadays). ------------------ <this space for rent>
Thanks Dr Of Dunk. That's exactly what I'm trying to do. I also had another question, are there any ISA to PCI converters? Or ISA to AGP? Is there any way I can addon another slot? Thanks.
If they do exist, I'm not aware of any. FYI, a good new motherboard with 1 AGP slot, 1 or 2 ISA slots, and several PCI slots can be had for about $70-$80. What exactly are you trying to do? Why do you need a converter? ------------------ <this space for rent>
