The playoff teams that played the most playoff teams on their schedule and how they fared (highest to lowest):

Houston Texans faced 7 playoff teams. Won 3. Lost 4 (our only losses).
Minnesota Vikings faced 7 playoff teams. Won 3. Lost 4.
Baltimore Ravens faced 6 playoff teams. Won 2. Lost 4.
New England Patriots faced 6 playoff teams. Won 3. Lost 3.
Green Bay Packers faced 6 playoff teams. Won 2. Lost 4.
Denver Broncos faced 5 playoff teams. Won 2. Lost 3.
Indianapolis Colts faced 5 playoff teams. Won 3. Lost 2.
San Francisco 49ers faced 5 playoff teams. Won 3. Lost 2.
Seattle Seahawks faced 5 playoff teams. Won 4. Lost 1.
Cincinnati Bengals faced 4 playoff teams. Won 2. Lost 2.
Washington Redskins faced 4 playoff teams. Won 2. Lost 2.
Atlanta Falcons faced 2 playoff teams. Won 2. Lost 0.

Seattle has the highest number of playoff team wins with 4, followed by Houston, Minnesota, New England, Indianapolis and San Francisco with 3 wins each. Baltimore, Green Bay, Denver, Cincinnati, Washington and Atlanta each have 2 playoff team wins. Now, obviously, if a team faced less playoff teams they wouldn't have a very good chance of improving that record, but it also means those teams had an easier go at it than some of the other teams, many of which are considered favorites to win it all. What I take from this is, some of the media darlings are over-rated and others are not being given enough credit.

Yeah, so, we won against 3 playoff teams? And WHO was the quarterback for those 3 games? Couldn't have been Schaub. He was in no way responsible for those wins.

This is a good point: I had addressed that in my thread I created on Monday. I agree totally: this is a much more accurate way to look at teams and their schedule.

what a silly thread. it's common knowledge that our wins don't count.

Wrt the texans the concern and anger is entirely a timing issue. If the four losses were either earlier in the season or more spread out it would be a different story. Instead they lost 3 of 4 including the final game they had to have for that #1 seed. Throw in some defeatist sound bites from the players themselves and as fans there's no reason to get too excited unless they make it last the second round.

last 11 games of Denver, they only played against 2 teams with 8 wins or more.

last 11 games of Houston, they played against 7 teams with 8 games or more.

overall record for the opponents in the last 11 games of Denver: 68-108

overall record for the opponents in the last 11 games of Houston: 93-83

    last 4 games:

Denver played against 3 teams with 5 wins or less.

Houston played against 4 teams with 10 wins or more.

Are you sure the 11 win streak of Denver is impressive?

It might not be as impressive but it still is. Moreover it got them the #1 seed. I think we can all agree on paper a bye week, matchup against an overrated Ravens or you g Colts at home, and then a home game against the patriots in a worse case scenario is a LOT better than the Texans path.

Plus, regardless of schedule, Denver IS legitimately good.

Past history shows any team can win... Though momentum and health play huge roles.

that denver streak looks alot like the streak matt was on when everyone weas calling him elite. a whole bunch on nobody teams and a couple wins against good teams.

why are you worried about denver? the etxans have to beat the bengals, then beat the pats in foxbrough before they get to play the overrated broncos..

If we took care of business against Indy we would be in so much better position to make the super bowl that it is sickening

Denver's best win was still the Monday nighter against San Diego, and it took 4 2nd half picks from Philip Rivers for that to be possible.

I honestly think we can do just that.
I don't think our defense gets hammered twice
    but
The offense needs to get back to the long sustanted drives
