First question for candidates interviewing for the open position: "Do you intend to complete the investigation of links between the Trump campaign and Russia?"
No... Any sane rational person would have some serious concerns over a president firing a FBI director that was actively investigating his campaign/administration. Let's see who Donald replaces him with.
it may be a pretense for some other reason, but this explanation from the Deputy AG lays out how grossly incompetent Comey has been
it's a matter of what have you done for me lately ! Comey testified that there is an ongoing investigation into the Trump campaign for possible coordination w the Russians, w the innuendo that a Grand Jury has already been convened. The investigation is getting too close for comfort. This is reminiscent to Nixon's firing of the Special Watergate Investigator, Archibald Cox,
I'm thinking they feared Comey would go rogue, again. But the DAG letter also states that he usurped authority in stating the Clinton investigation was closed. As Clinton is coming back to public life, we might also see a resumption of those investigations. Nixon has nothing on Trump.
