Never mind that Hinkie basically assembled the entire roster. Colangelo will reap the benefits of Embiid getting healthy, that's it. And if Simmons is a star, he too will only be a product of the suck for stars process. Hinkie will forever be held up as what was holding the franchise back if they succeed, but in reality his plan is now working perfectly.
Whooo omg i see a lots of names that never even heard before.... Must be lucky dlague scrubs just to match the floor minimum
Yeah. I agree with @SamFisher. At least I'm assuming he's being sarcastic. This is a general problem with society today. People are very short sighted and can't be patient when things are tough in the interim to get to a certain goal. Just look at the political landscape of this country. Anyway, I feel bad for Hinkie. His vision turned out to be completely correct. Too bad they let him go too early. I definitely believe he could have maximized the trade value of Noel, Okafor, etc... Thus setting the franchise up for the next 15 years. The sixers could have been better than Boston really fast. Likely though, because of the short sighted decision to fire Hinkie, they'll probably waddle around mediocrity for a while before one of Embiid or Simmons leaves them.
of course he's being sarcastic. Hinkle was the mastermind behind this and the owner promised to give him time to fulfill his scheme. But then the Congelo whisper to the owner's ear to takeover and now taking credit for THE PROCESS
Yea, I think Sixers will be better than Boston in 3 years. Sixers have a franchise players, Boston don't. Sixers followed the Boston blueprint to dump everyone and start over. Management let Ainge time to built the team, while the Congelo backstabbed THE PROCESS and now trying to make themself as the mastermind behind THE PROCESS Everyone know Hinkle got royally screwed because he was promised time for THE PROCESS but got stabbed in the back.
He's been on that team since last year but my god BEV made him look like the next coming of STeve Nash! This team seariously lacks an inside defensive presence and another ball handler
BC is a r****d. He grabs Mo Williams and releases him just to add salary. That was just the latest example of stupidity.
Tanking and hoping that you hit on a lottery pick is a good strategy. It looks like he has hit on 1/3 picks assuming Joel stays healthy and can play over 30 minutes one day. Presti hit all 3 of his picks.
Did the Philly fans turn on him? I always thought (or guessed), the fans understood the tanking and purging the rosters, and at worst got impatient?? I thought the league owners are the ones who stepped in to put a stop to it. Well, don't you kinda have to give him credit for Simmons, too? His big opportunity was taking Giannis at #11, though, in one of the worst drafts in history. And he missed it. Seems like the perfect pick for a tanking team to take the "project". Or was he not GM yet in 2013?? I can't remember.
His name is TJ McConnell, not CJ McConnell. You are confusing him with CJ McCollum. Both of them are more useful than KJ McDaniels. Once again, Morey loses.
Two years ago, I advocated the Rockets trading 2 first-round picks for Embiid when Embiid was laid up and rumored to be jaking his rehab. Everyone ridiculed me.
I can't remember either, but Noel was also a project Anyhow speaking of Presti, how come Sam the "Best Drafter Ever" used his pick that year (from the Harden trade) on Stephen Adams? (Over Giannis). Then he snags Roberson over Gobert. Draft is a motherfn crapshoot man
I really think they wanted him to stay. But aside from that, Embiid's health isn't a certainty and Okafor/Noel/MCW are all kind of meh. Simmons - I'm not a fan of him, but we'll see.
