Who is more to blame , obviously both sides are significant causes to the suckage we have witnessed .

The talent on the team is lacking . Is the front office's fault ? Or does the coaching staff have final word on who is picked / makes the squad ? Also are talented players being picked but then not coached up to their potential?

On field performance/ scheme is lacking ... Coaching staff's fault ? Who scouts other teams and gives information.

So much is shrouded so as fans we don't ultimately know who is responsible. Give me your gut feeling where the percentages of blame are due

My feeling is that while both are are fault , there is a systemic issue because the GM as a glorified consultant/ cap manager ( which has also been subpar) method isn't working .

As a fan there is nothing worse than not having faith in your front office and staff .

Of course you guys may think it is overwhelmingly one sides fault and I can understand that , I don't watch that much football and base my analysis on basketball and baseball

I have to say the GM is most at fault

    ask yourself this

If the Texans had the D. Morey of the NFL as its GM.. giving him years upon years upon years to work and improve our team. At the very least do you think we would have a decent QB by now?

    Smith HAS to go

We have JJ Watt and Clowney and give up 41 in the first half? Romeo shouldn't get on the plane home.

Campbell was able to come in and make Miami dominate their two games under him.

Miami only changed HC and DC and now their destroying their opponents.

We were competitive last year with mostly the same team, so yea it's coaching.

But we made a lot of personnel changes and didn't really upgrade spots where we were aging or lacked depth. The drafts and free agency have been wasted

The talent isn't great, but this team would be performing much better with a coach that isn't entirely clueless. BOB has lost this team.

Honestly. . . the defense 'shut down' Miami in the second half
At half time I thought He was gone

Then the Texans started making useless points
and the miami second team was out ther and all I could think was
D*mn . . .his job has been saved

Exactly, I was rooting for a huge blowout , which it was , but maybe McNair can justify by the final score that we weren't destroyed.

I think both need to be replaced and the new GM we hire has to be an independent talent evaluator.

Well apparently Rick Smith isn't responsible for anything, so he should be safe.

Dont play stupid here. Morey would think the coaching here is fine and would make a bogus statistic theory. Where is my PF at? Where is my coach. Anyone that thinks that it's all about talent is just flat out idiotic. If that's the case l, the Yankees would have won way more championships

The front office has been proven incompetent for so long now that the blame can really only reside with Bob McNair at this point.

I think the offense has lived up to expectations. They were not expected to be good with Hoyer/Mallett and an old Foster that really won't contribute at all this year due to injuries. The defense was supposed to be dominate and carry this team.
