    The "2nd unit" wasn't even the real 2nd unit that the team will trot out in a real game. Asik didn't play. Garcia didn't play. Even Greg Smith and Camby didn't play.

    Beverley was the only one among the guys who came off the bench last night who is certain to actually get minutes. Jones may get some minutes too but it's no guarantee. The rest of the "2nd unit" last night were really rookies and minimum wage guys fighting for the last roster spots and an off-chance at the rotation-- Casspi (who looked sharp), Brewer, AB, Covington and Canaan.

    Yes, but to be fair, if that was Lin instead of Bev, it would also be probably trending on Twitter right now. Things are amplified when Lin does poorly or well.

    I think someone brought it up already but, can you imagine having to do scrimmages with this guy while the coaches are watching? Jeremy Lin has to have improved handles with Bev hounding at him every practice session. Opposing PG's now sleep in their beds with the basketball glued to their hands while Bev lurks about at night.

    Lin and Bev are going to be the best 1-2 punch BY FAR at the PG position in the league. And if they stay healthy and with the Rockets, they will get even better in the years to come. Rockets need to find a way to keep them both.

    He's already better than Hunter defensively (though Hunter could really shoot when he was on). Rebounds, steals, and blocks are way higher than Hunter ever had them, though Hunter may have been a bit better in his prime at staying in front of his man.

    Not having your best bench player on the floor kind of hurts the performance of the bench as a whole. Some players also got minutes off the bench who probably won't during the regular season.

    Pretty sure he will be eligible to play as a sophomore. Doesn't count if you don't play any games. Blake Griffin played as a rookie after he missed the season with his knee injury.
