Oh, he lifts, bro! I think he did like 100 bench reps right before this inbounds play.

    Sacrifice their future?

They also sacrificed their future when they traded for Harden.

We don't know how this will pan out. They may have created a great future by trading for Westbrook.

I am not worried about how Westbrooke fits in here, I just don't think he fits in ANYWHERE. He's like Carmelo and Dwight - really talented individual players who are dinosaurs in the modern NBA. Westbrook will only get worse and worse - and painful to watch.

If you think it was hard to see T-mac age - just wait.

Yeah and if you think Westbrook is Leonard you are in for a rude awakening.

    Oh Morey is done.

Harden/WB/Tilman are getting zero blame from 2021-2023 when this team is an absolute dumpster fire.

Harden was 23 back then, Harden was their future so to speak!

Not even close. Man people are really acting like we just traded for an always injured, over 33 year old superstar. Shaq was 36 when he was traded to the Suns.

If the Rockets bomb and are absolutely terrible then they most likely keep their draft picks. The swap picks are fine cause you're at least not losing the pick.

Also was there even a choice? You want to keep your superstar happy and one way you do that is by trading for one of his best childhood friends who still has a few prime years left, UPON HIS REQUEST. If this didn't happen, James was gonna request a trade.

People are being too sentimental with Chris Paul. We got him 2-3 years too late or else he would have been the perfect fit. He's just too old and injured now. Do yall really want James to have to carry the team for the majority of the season while Paul essentially rests/recovers just in time for the playoffs? That'll just increase the injury risk on James more.

Yeah but if you think having Westbrook is going to be like watching Tmac age, then you're in for a surprise.

Do tell how the injuries WB and Tmac have gone through up to this point in their career are equal so that your earlier point makes sense.

All I've been seeing are people making comparions that don't even match. It's literally Russell's game is based on a lot of athleticism so therefore "this" will happen but not everyone follows the same timeline as other players. We all got different bodies lol.

You were making a decent argument without saying this. There is no basis for this.

I used to have this problem. Close safari, go to settings>safari>clear history. Then immediately restart your phone. Then go to google and do a search for clutchfans and load from there not from any saved shortcut. This fixed it for me.

I don't think that's far off at all. If James was requesting Westbrook and the org said no we choose CP3, you don't think he'd instead try to find a way to OKC or express his unhappiness in the current situation? This is assuming the rift between Harden and Paul was true.

Westbrook has one thing - that's his athleticism. Once that starts to fade - and it does once you cross 30 - his game will get exposed. His poor defense will be exposed. His lack of consistent perimeter shooting will be exposed as he isn't able to get to the rim nearly as much as he used to.

First of all a shout out to one of the greatest point guard that ever played the game of basketball! Thanks CP3 for suiting up with the Rockets uniforms for 2 years. I thought it was imminent to bring an even a very talented player in league. Now we got a one and two best guards in the league and keeping the 6th man Gordon of 2 years ago, along with the wing man House and Green, and of course the 2 blue collar defender, Tucker and Rivers. Westbrook will definitely change the whole aspects of the game for the Rockets.

The Suns at the time were coming off a run where they were very close to win a title several times. Eventually they made efforts to get over the hump, and that included trading for a player that did not fit the Suns at all. That player was Shaq. Everyone in their gut knew it was a move made out of desperation and the ownership group putting pressure on Kerr and D’Antoni to mix it up.

That is exactly what is happening to the Rockets. They have come up short twice, they are aging. The fan base isn’t satisfied being second best. Ownership wants to make a splash. When that happens teams make reaches.
