I admit it!! I was so wrong, eating crow now and loving it.

Manimal is fast becoming a favorite - not just because of his energy and zest for life, the guy is just full of surprises too.

Have you seen Shump on George or Kawhi? He can defend 1-4 while Tucker is better vs. 3-5. Forget the generalisms, its all about the matchups.

Faried is looking good so far in the box score but the opposing team seems to score more easily with him on the floor. I think playing him as a starter depends on the matchup. As long as he's a good matchup against the elite teams like Warriors and OKC this will greatly help our team.

Not going to hold my breath on his 3 point shooting, if he can even hit mid range jumpers consistently that should help the spacing.

More concerning is his defense, it's well known he can't guard the C position at all, but how is the rest of his defense? Haven't followed his game for a few years, but can he switch onto Durant or Curry and be at least average? Losing Ariza means Tucker is the only one we can rely on to guard Durant for long stretches, having other guys that can switch onto Durant and not be totally incompetent should help Tucker from getting burnt out.

Had some good stretches in the Hawks game but the Rockets abandoned it 71 seconds into the 3rd quarter. I think Harden is still not comfortable with the spacing. They need to keep working on it. Get some practice time. And it might end up being more "situational" than a standard starting lineup. We'll see. Glad they are trying it though.

I like the Manimal but can we really play him and Capela at the same time ?

D’Antoni killed this guys usefulness through never playing him at the right position and benching him until he’s disgruntled.

    Excellent coach.

It is too bad we burned our bridge with him.
There’s definitely a lot we as fans don’t get to see in practice and behind closed doors, but I really don’t understand how he played himself out of rotation

Sorry - where did he sign again? Yes, D’Antoni shoulda have given him more burn in the playoffs but that likely wouldn’t have changed a thing. Lets not act like his defense wasnt a known issue that had already destroyed his career arc.

Then again, Faried might not have any other bridges available to him at this point.

We need Faried Back. The guy was more of a positive than a negative. Our team will be better if they get a chance to bond thru training camp and embrace their roles. We need Faried on a 1 year deal

I’d be shocked if Faried came back after the disrespect of last season.

Faried injured his hip and then reinjured it before the playoffs. A full healthy season with him would be sweet

He played well during the regular season before the injury, especially for a player on a cheap contract.
