His post move where he backs the guy down with his left hand and then pivots for a right-handed hook over the left shoulder is the move he uses to pivot away from help defense and shot his high-% shot. I can't wait to see Martin feed him in the post and let Yao set him up for the outside shot this year. Keep Brooks on the top of the key so he can dribble-penetrate if Martin swings it to him. Set Scola up on the weak-side high post where he can pick and pop for Brooks and leave Battier in the other corner for the wide-open 3. That's a lot of things for defenses to worry about.

This is why I wanna see Yao, Martin and Brooks play together first before we trade Martin or Brooks for Melo. Melo is a tough cover especially on the blocks, but we already have Yao and Scola who can play down there. I'd like to see the outside shooting and dribble penetration that those two do better than Melo.

   i am happy.

he looks great so far although he is out of shape. like he said, he still have 1 month to the training camp and 2 months to the season opening. i have absolutely no doubt he is going to be ready when the season starts.

rox is definitely a force in wc.   we should be very close to a title contender if not a contender

Haha! I knew it. 9:35 of the video he called Melo a "good teammate" and then corrected himself. Did anyone else notice?

    The deal is done!

I'm pretty sure his jumper was all he was able to work on for the past six months.

Yao looks rusty (especially losing to Chuck). But it doesn't look like anything serious - just cobwebs. I'm glad they're doing this in August instead of October. I'm hoping they'll keep this up over the next two months and Yao will be close to game shape when the season starts.

You know what, this video actually makes me more excited about Chuck Hayes.

    1) Did you see his sick step back jumper? Oh, that's nasty.

    2) Did you see his free throw attempts? Look great for me.

As for Yao, looks pretty good. But looks so SLOW.......And out of shape. But I guess that is what has been expected.
