Wow, In all seriousness you are quite possibly the most devoted fan on this board. I mean I've watched the Rockets since I was a kid, and haven't missed a game. But you madam, have taken it to whole another level, congrats...
The final seconds of the Hornets game <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Jl2T6rMYQvg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> This part was really funny. As we were nearing the exit while chanting "Who dat?" an usher at the New Orleans Arena was rushing us out of the arena. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/XH6F23KbvHQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
nice blog!! and very interesting. and you're very creative, when all those signs you made, and the outfits you make too.
RocketGirl, I stood next to you a couple of times I think during your rookie season. They call me Dallas Rowdie & I was there for the Spurs game on Sat (didn't sit with ya'll this time because it was 'family time'). I was a lil under the weather to go all out Sat, but I couldn't contain it during the game. 200 miles each time for a game? DAMN! Mad props. I would make it down if I could find a driver or a cheap 'season ticket' flight! 220 one way, 8hrs on the road would be too much for each & every game. I made the Rockets game vs Dallas during the win streak (#16) as the first time I hung with the Rowdies. I still love hanging with ya'll & I've come to be pretty good friends with Severe. Anyhoo, good seeing ya.
yeah yeah I remember you. I recognized you Saturday and was maybe going to say something in the section, but like you said, you sat somewhere else. I think you told me some story once how you promoted your band behind TNT or ESPN announcers before they started putting up a curtain?? lol. Anyways, I'm hoping we can make it to a regular season game or 2 in Dallas, so I'll have to hit you up about that next season.
I wonder if rocketgirl won her Rowdy spot just based off her drawing skills/creativity.. she always has the best signs. Great work with the St. Patrick sign, RG00!
Tonight was a coincidental miss for a few Rowdies as well as we've had a few drop out at this point in the season, like we always do each year, due to personal reasons or they can no longer make the Rowdy commitment. thanks! and you know it's actually funny, that's what one of the judges said at my tryout for the season. something like "she should make it on her sign making skills alone" because I had 5 signs in the tryout. If you find my tryout on youtube you can hear him say that. But my first year I tried out with no signs. Anyways here's a photo of my sign from tonight. I brought it down with me in the 4th quarter right behind the goal during the t-shirt toss, and they typically show the rowdies that go down there on TV. I faced it towards the Rockets bench and the players were all pointing and laughing in my sign's direction. I think Scola was laughing at my Ginobalding one on Saturday.
LOL, yea, I almost got tackled by their statistician. Also got escorted out by security when sitting the behind the announcers at center court because I was cheering too loud, but they said I was cussing . . . yet I wasn't.
Hah, I'd say the ginobalding was the sign of the year. I didn't realize Rowdy tryouts were on YouTube, I'll have to check them out.
