What excites you most about this pairing?

The possibilities. I'm a basketball junkie. However long it's been, not a day has passed since me & James haven't talked. We expect a lot out of each other.

Why James?

I watch a lot of basketball. Eric Gordon, closest friend in Trevor Ariza, Clint Capela ... what they've been able to do here, I can incorporate myself & help just a little bit.

Conversations with James?

Me & James ... I don't know. It was a basketball in a room & we were fighting over it. We talked about the ultimate goal. That's winning. Neither one of us has had the opportunity to do it. Someone else on the journey who wants it as bad as me. He's gonna help me. We're gonna help each other.

Why opt in & thoughts about the future/signing long term?

Long way to go before it gets there. It's about the present, the right now. Anything to help make this team better right now, that's what we wanted to do. It worked out in both our favor(Clips/CP3)

What do you like about D'Antoni's style?

Nothing. ,, Coach is a genuine guy who will get on me. He has to coach me. His love for basketball.

Me & James talked about. Some people are built different. I'm built different. I'm the most competitive person I know. No reason in playing unless you're playing to win. If you're not first, you're last. Straight up. We have one goal: that's to win.

Community is very important. I roll deep. I got my whole crew here. The fans that support us, we can't do what we do without them.

How do you envision the dynamic with James & adapting your game?

Definitely an adjustment but I'm truly excited. That's coach's problem. When you want to win, you'll do whatever it takes. James has that. I know I do.

Mid-range?

I'll never shoot another mid-range shot in my life. You take the open shot, whatever is there.

Mike D'Antoni: There are exceptions.

It's a new start, a fresh start. The timing couldn't be better for myself, along with James.

Clint is just...he's so raw & ready to work & do whatever. Screen, roll, all that different type of stuff. He's been a nice, genuine good guy. People talk about James but I'm excited to play with Clint.

Carmelo possibility?

How close to the Warriors?

I don't know. We're not close enough, tell you the truth. Until someone beats them, it's who everyone is chasing. We have a lot of work to do.

GEEZ. Like three sections are filled with red on a damn Friday afternoon where a game isn't even being played. They're all on time too.

Hate that those tickets cost so much because we definitely have some GREAT Rockets fans that just can't make it to the game.
