If you have ever seen the episode of family guy, where Peter is diagnosed as being beyond r****ded, that described Richard Justice today.


He said that McGrady's 23 mil will expire and let the rockets offer a max deal. They said on the show that they are still talking to Chicago, Philly, and New York. That the Knicks don't have enough to get a deal done, and if any deal does get done with the Knicks, it will have to be a three way trade. Thats all i tuned in for, missed some of the rest.

Frank Isola of the NY Daily News wrote that Jeffries contract has a $2 million trade kicker. Does the trade kicker affect Jeffries's 2011 salary?, ie next year's salary is bumped up as well?

C: Something in the 90% range. Worst case: For expiring but I think he will

JL: THe way it's constructed now, how do you like it?

C: I like it quite a bit. They are great assets and have good trade value. They would go into the summer with assets. You have players and picks to work with.

JL: Any other trades?

C: Scola is a name out there. Heard he's connected with Martin if he was to be moved. They could flip a guy such as Harrington if he was to be acquired.

JL: 3 way?

C: Surprised they havent made more headlines/progress in a 3 way.

JL: Trevor Ariza; hasnt lived up thus far. Disappointed with the terms they gave him?

C: I think they secretly hoped he was better. But certainly have the right approach with him as a role player later on. Not a lead guy.

JL: Not fair to judge him this year, I sort of thought he would fail somewhat. Bad shots, bad body language.

C: Yeah, there was a game that body language was bad but I think he has improved. He hasnt taken that next step.

JL: Can no longer fly under the radar.

C: Right on. They can focus on him now.

JL: Your read on how they'll come out the 2nd half? I think they'll be more focused and will win tonight.

C: Utah is hot. Tough matchup. They're in decline but they're missing a scorer and big man. Fearful they're headed for the lottery but hopeful they can turn it around.

JL: Morey wont make a move to make a move. If there is anyone who can trick the Knicks, its Morey.

C: I was fearful they were going to use McGrady for this year only. But I'm happy they're looking long term with potential future assets.

JL: Off topic, does anyone else have trouble telling Landry, Lowry apart.

C: You see it on highlights and even Rudy made it. They get mixed up.
