Good Read clutch. I will be praying to land a top3 pick... Doubt it will happend but you never know. I think we could land a trade with the blazers or Raptors for lowry.
I just have a feeling we will get the #1 pick.
Lowry + Scola + #16 + Motie for Howard + fillers
Martin / Lee
Davis / Patterson
why would you trade a young, cheap, athletic point guard with all-star potential? if it's not for Anthony Davis or Deron Williams(or other superstars), we should keep lowry.
Actually -- as long as the Nets don't land #2 or #3 we should be pretty happy with our chance at landing Dwight. If they get the #1 they will keep it.
My belief is:
If Lillard is there when the Jazz draft, they'll take him and not look back. They're not going to deal for Lowry with Lillard available.
Yeah, and then trade Brook Lopez and Gerald Wallace for Howard and Turky-Glue
The lottery is as broken as the Rockets are.
Very nice article Clutch! I learned a lot. Thanks.
he doesn't wanna be here... Hes not happy with the coach and IF we retain dragic hes just going to put no effort.
Because you could resign a young athletic point guard with all-star potential (Dragic) and actually trade a disgruntled Kyle Lowry for an asset that could significantly make the team better.
Because we have two of them and we need to get a quality All-star two-way big man and we can probably get that big man for one of our point guards.
Speculation... if it were so easy..... keep trying
Good read. The Rockets should think of a trade with Portland for that #6 pick. Then use that pick to draft Lillard.
Maybe I haven't had enough coffee, but why is it that we would be guaranteed top 3 if our name isn't called for the 14th pick? Am I reading that wrong?
You don't know that. Morey said both mchale and Lowry are competitors. He will compete when given minutes.
I'm sure he would give the rockets more than one offseaason to trade him. He is not Dwight Howard (this season till the trade deadline was pretty much the length of an offseason).
Only the top 3 picks are determined by the lottery. After that, the remaining lottery picks go in order of final record. If the Rockets aren't number 14, that means one of their lottery number combinations got picked for the top 3.
With the 3rd pick in the draft Houston Rockets select Draymond Green!
