No superstar wants to look like a dork in our goofy and hideous uniforms.

I think this conversation is flawed from the start.

NJ is not going to trade DWill unless Dwight has already been moved. If Dwight has been moved, it will be to LA, LAC, DAL or NJ. He will sign an extension in all those places, so landing Deron really doesn't make headway in landing Howard.

The only way I could see it working out is if we traded for Howard first.

    Scola/Martin/Dalembert

    for

    Howard/Turk

    Then follow up:

    Lowry / Thabeet / Budinger

    for

    Dwill

    So we could roll with

    Dwill / Dragic
    Lee / Williams
    Parsons / FA
    Patterson / Dmo
    Howard / Hill

How funny would it be if we trade Lowry + whoever + picks for Deron and Dwight still gets traded to the Nets and they win the deal ;)

Too risky, stay away, Dwight will not come here.

I like Kyle Lowry. But if he nets you two superstar players, you got to do it.

That's why I think it's important to push Kyle Lowry as an all star, so free agents can say, hey Houston has superstar players, it's a destination where I want to go when they are free agents, or at the end of their contract.

In the article, Clutch mentioned that Williams was ok to play in Houston, I guess that key is Nets, if they are willing to trade Williams, if yes, then if they want to have Lowry and Scola for Williams. To many Ifs as usual. To have Howard together is just another dream for Morey.

I like your thinking. Best case scenario would be to have Orlando Sign and Trade Howard to us and we can send those players to Orlando. IIRC Orlando wants veterans for Howard as well. It is a possibility. If we ended up with Howard and didn't even trade Lowry for Dwill I would like that was well.

I'll tell you to your face. The Miami Heat gutted their entire team to make room for the big 3. The clippers have players under contract, and why the hell would Orlando trade Dwight without getting cp3 or Blake in return?

Why would Howard join Williams here if he won't join Williams with the Nets? Either New Jersey holds onto Williams and picks up Howard, or they trade Williams because D-Will isn't attractive enough to bring Howard over.

In short, I don't see it. I would trade just Lowry for D-Will and maybe filler (one late first round pick, or one young guy) but I certainly would not gut the team to get Williams.

Honor?? Chill man haha. I didn't even mean it out of disrespect. Just thought your statement was ridiculous. I'm not any kind of "internet punk". Just read RowdyRicky's post. THAT is why your statement was dumb.

I think Lowry is better for the team we have right now. The only way this trade makes sense is if another superstar wants to crash the party

Nets were high on his list but the Nets could not package any deal together that was attractive to the Magic
