I hope he's the Black Chris Bosh.. and not the Black Mikki Moore.

The Oakman was a great complement to Patrick Ewing--bringing a tough edge. Hopefully, Hill can do the same for Yao.

You may have witnessed the ceiling as well because it's doubtful he'll get more than 20 minutes a game ever. Not that he needs to, but Landry's shoes are hard to fill. Still, I'd happily take a 12ppg/8rpg legit big PF who only gets 20 min/gm. As long as he hustles and avgs 1.5-2 blks/gm.

looks like PT is just what the doctor ordered.

By wonders you mean from the bottom of the bench to... the bottom of the bench with a reputation as D-League superstar.

While I agree with the general spirit of your post - that Hill needs to see the floor to actualize his talent, my opinion is that Hill should get minutes with the Rockets instead of with the Vipers. We are already out of realistic playoff contention, and playing Hill will give him the court-time he needs and making tanking natural at the same time.

That would come out to about 20 pts and 13 rbs and 3 blks per 36 minutes...you think a player like that would only get 20 min a game?

No power foward tandem in the league has more combined hair than Luis Scola and Jordan Hill

For sure. An actual legit tall guy not Yao going TO the rim for offense, didnt think itd be that rare a sight.

Is Jordan Hill 'showing his potential' related to Daryl Morey 'dangling himself' infront of FAs? ;)

I don't know. Oakley, along with a lot of players on that 90s Knicks team, was an SOB when he wanted/needed to be. Hill doesn't strike me as having the tough enforcer mentality.

But he's still young, so maybe he'll grow into being a d*ck.

After reviewing the statistics, I think it's fairly obvious that Hill needs to switch to whatever shoes Stoudemire uses, that extra half inch can make all the difference. As soon as this happens I'm sure the double-doubles will start pouring in :)

I compared the guy earlier in the Game thread to Amar'e.

His skillset is very similar to that of Amar'e except that he may actually be a much better rebounder then Amar'e.

I begin to wonder how better Hill would be when Lowry comes back.

Daryl Morey will be dangling himself in front of FAs while simulatneously dangling Jordan Hill to the FA's current team as sign & trade bait.

He looks good, but what was he doing playing OT minutes?? I think management doesn't have any plans to make the playoffs....

I really liked what I saw there from Hill. Has a lot of great ingredients.

My only concern is that Hill looks more like Scola than he does Landry. In other words, he might be a bit redundant.

I think we need a PF who can play a bit above the rim and get us lots of dunks. Someone who can really elevate and counter those other guys.

But Hill may prove valuable if he develops since it would make either him or Scola a very valuable trade asset.

We aren't making to playoffs anyway, so why not let him play against better competition?

This makes me want to Keep Jordan Hill this off-season, a combination of Hill & (2010 draft pick: Whiteside, Monroe, Cousins, etc) could be the future of our front court.....
