    I do.

I have never seen a guy hold a grudge against an organization for this long. I really think this is more about the Rockets bouncing Barkley's ass out of the playoffs and then not being able to win him a championship later than it is about the money. I get the feeling he thinks he would have a ring or two if the Rockets organization never existed.

Barkley played with Dream and Drexler and I'm not sure I have ever heard him say anything nice about either guy much less mention them as great players. How does that happen for any other reason except to purposely attempt to diminish how great they were?

To younger fans, I don't think they know who Charles Barkley is, so he doesn't damage the Rockets image.

To older fans, they know he never won a championship. They know what James Harden is doing in the absence of Howard. They can think for themselves.

One way Morey can shut down Charles is to work out a magical trade again.

    c'mon, Daryl, we're ready

That's precisely the problem. People can't think for themselves. The casual fan watches maybe 4 Rockets games a year. Their opinion of the Rockets is made up of what transpired during those 4 games they actually watched, and what the media says about them. If Charles is talking out of his booty saying factually incorrect things, then casual fans will think it is the truth.

Now if any of this actually matters to the teams FA recruiting, marketing, branding etc. is a completely different debate. But I would definitely say people listen and (naively) agree with Barkley.

Yes, I've read that also, what I haven't read is Mayweather losing 10-30mill dollars on gambling. If he has then he's an idiot as well.

I've never said there is a correlation between Barkley/Morey/gambling. What I've said is Barkley losing all those millions gambling makes him an idiot in my book. IF Morey is an idiot (Barkley's statement) for doing analytics, then Barkley is an even bigger idiot for losing all that money in Vegas, play long enough and you will eventually come out a loser!

Okay, you got me here, I don't have a clue what this means! If you're trying to show no correlation, you're right! I can't correlate anything there.

Stopped listening to the TNT 'show' a long time ago. I have no idea how some people can say they like listening to Barkley.

Rumor is its over money issues that we were suppose to pay him and other unofficial promises that were never granted within the rockets organization.

I thought it was because he took a paycut to get Pippen to Houston.

    Charles is hilarious.

He doesn't like the Rockets, big deal.

But he is very entertaining and is worth 30 minutes of live TV.

Avery Johnson: The Spurs have one of the biggest analytics department in the league, they just don't brag about it.

Also mentioned that when he coached for the Mavs how it was introduced to him. Said it "Definitely" has a place.

Analytics has won NBA teams at least as many championships as building around Charles Barkley ever did, so I think we should stick with it at least a little longer.

I think both Barkley and Morey are right. Talented free agents make a team sucessful. However, analytics has its place when certain stats tell a team where they are deficient and said team goes out and gets a specialist to make up for that deficiency. Analytics also helps a team by providing stats that tell them how to be more efficient such as FG sweet spots on the floor.

He has said that McHale was the best player he's played against though.

Some could criticise Morey of chasing talent too much over the past few years instead of using analytics to build a team of loveable scrappy hustlers which Barkley seems to think analytics is all about.

Morey has always agreed that talent wins in this league, which is why he went after Josh Smith when most insisted he wasn't a 'Morey' player. It's why he chased the Dwight's, Melo's and Bosh's of the league.

If you can play, you're a Morey player.

Of course, he is. So many times. He said Yao wouldn't score more than 18 points in a game.

The man is as honest as it comes, short of dissing the current Rox, I guess.
