Real Rockets analysis! Not that fake scripted teleprompter stuff from Bayless, Sharpe or ClutchFans favorite Kellerman!

I thought for sure this was going to transpire when James showed up before game three in that yellow slicker

    Let in rain!

The Rockets have shot 15 of 57 (26.3%) on wide open threes. Wolves have shot 20 of 36 (55.6%).

It's an anomaly. We'll be fine.

Somebody insert the Kevin Bacon "all is well" meme / gif.

I'm neither optimistic nor pessimistic. I just want to see the Rockets take a deep breath and hit their shots. When they do that tonight, I, myself, will also breathe easier.

One would hope so. But we're 3 games in now. And these are not even contested 3's they're missing. They're bricking wide open shots. Even if/when they get past Minnesota, what the hell's gonna happen in the next round? Both OKC and Utah are much better defensive squads.

Let's hope familiarity breeds confidence for this group. 3 games down and these guys gotta know we can close this out at home.

I wonder what's easier/more probable, for Tucker/Ego/Ariza to start hitting their threes or Ryno/GG/JJ not being negative on defense

If they can't hit open shots, then they'll struggle. There's nothing they can do about that. They're getting the same number of open threes per game as they did in the 65-win regular season. They're playing +EV, but they've been unlucky.

Tucker guarding Taj Gibson doesn't really help us much. If we put Ryno on him and they decide to force feed Gibson, that's exactly what we want. On the flip side, Ryno stretches the floor and is hitting his shots right now. We need to play him with the first unit while his shot is good.

Yea. Simple idea. But that is a 22-23 foot shot. If there is any tightness or hesitation or doubt in your shot you will miss. They have to fire with the same fluidity and confidence they did in the regular season if they want to get on a roll from behind the arc. I hope we come out firing and bury these guys. I would hate to think we start getting pounded and our guys start to clinch up. Shooting a high percentage from three while uptight is just not possible.

EG better have a bounce back game or ship him out of here. Can't afford to have him choke every playoffs.
