Yep, like paying conley, rudy, zach and gasol, lol. If anything he has shown now and in thepast that he will pay players as much as alexander will. Gasol got his max, wright, williams, and battier all got their extensions from memphis also. They're a really good team with some really good players. Not to mention they lost one of the best post players and rebounders in the game.

Yeah the problem here is they're paying so much but their production is comparable to ours. We have no max player, our most expensive guys are Scola (8.5M) and Kmart (11.5M) and Dalembert (7M). After that all the pieces are 5M or lower, in fact if we don't pick up all the options of the 09ers we'll have around 13M of capspace next year, and that's just by cutting all the flak.

OTH, the Grizzlies have locked themselves to 15M for gay, 15M for Zbo, 12M for Gasol and 7M for Conley. That's almost the whole cap already, and that's just for 4 players. Basically their owner is paying a fortune for the same result. I see him going "WTF?!" and go into firesale mode by mid-season.

Just a small note, but was rewatching the game and at the very end they showed Kevin Mchale walking off, clearly choked up with emotion over winning against his old team. I can sorta see why the players all play so hard for him.
