Rockets will not have bad 3ball shooting every game. Besides, I thought this was Russ' team, Harden provides no gravity or assistance anyway. Being he is so stationary and all.
and that is on the coach. he hasn't been able to motivate this team vs lesser teams all season. and instead of leading by example, he sits his ass the entire game (even our broadcasters mentioned this), seemingly content w/ being down 20. content w/ getting mauled in the paint while bricking from the arc. his "well if we win that's great, if we lose we'll just come back to tomorrow and look at the tape" attitude is wasting away our stars' primes.
The heat have the same amount of wins as us. Not really the same thing. Its not about who you lost to but how you lost anyways. Poor effort and bad fundamentals are inexcusable
@deb4rockets tbese takes annoy me so much, the rockets lost this game defensively not offensively. The defense tonight can’t win any games like this
They likely need a third option to go 30 once in a while, or the bench to go at least 35+ points to cancel out rebounding deficit at times. You can't really expect those top heavy stars to score 40 every game.....NY had long forwards too. Rockets are still vulnerable on the road this season, they do not finish as strong as in home games.
Yea we did, and that was also an effort thing throughout 3 quarters we played very bad. We need to do better. But it doesnt change the fact that Harden shoulndt go 3-13 from 3, that is awful.
I agree our defense was really bad. They killed us in the paint. They also limited our offense enough to pull out a win by clogging the paint and limiting our inside game. You didn't notice? Harden simply isn't the best man to take the majority of the 3's. That does make a difference, especially when we have better 3 pt shooters.
yes it is but we beat a contending team with a worse performance from harden. Actually played with effort, no effort in the final stretch is head scratching for this team after not a great first half of the season. Need to play these shitty teams like we did vs GS, Memphis
no one limited any offense. Rockets were scoring with ease, missing some shots but cov and house made up for that. Defensively the effort would put you in the lottery
Absolutely embarrassing display of basketball from P.J. Tucker all game. I'd rather we go even smaller and bench Tucker for McLemore so we actually have another real shooter to help Harden/Russ. Plus McLemore has had one of the highest net ratings on the team all season. It's a joke that D'Antoni reduced his playing time.
These stats perfectly reflect what happened in tonight's game too. We're a great team with Harden on the floor and without him, we're hoping Russ has an explosion, but the Knicks tsunami of power forwards doomed him.
Westbrook scored at will against Boston. The Knicks clogged the paint on him. Harden shot only 24 percent last game from the arc, but still took 17 3's. Westbrook was the difference. Tonight James shot 23% from the 3, but Westbrook wasn't able to score so easily.
Bench Tucker For Macelemore, my guy Maclemore has awful defense. I dont know why I continually have to explain how valuable PJ is to this team. Maclemore is a turnstile, as good as his shot his. He's good in doses.
The +/- perfectly described what we've been seeing all year. No doubt Russ has been amazing lately, but in terms of net rating, most of the amazing is happening with his BFF on the court. Without Harden, we're still a pedestrian team, and tonight the Knicks absolutely killed us when he was off the court.
Green, Carroll, and Sefalosha could easily replace most of Tucker's production at vet minimum value. BMac deserves to be in the starting lineup. He's objectively been one of our best players all year.
