Harden's defense has been 2015-2016 levels bad recently.

    Yep!

That's why we need to wheel and deal this week. Tilman can make or break us with his cheapness. We can't keep rolling the dice on winning without any big men, or with a less than great defense. What's the point? Defense is important. Rim protection is important Sure, we beat Dallas without a star forward or center, but see if that works against LeBron and AD. Maybe, but only if our streaky shooters aren't in a slump

I think EG should come off the bench with Rivers, but neither House nor McLemore are the player we really need in his spot. We need someone to strengthen our defense more, and make up for the lack of it we get at times from our guards. We need a guy to come in and be a defensive threat, and hit a 3. Tilman can chump change or throw the chips all in on it. Otherwise, it would take trading Clint to get that type of forward. I wouldn't trade him for a guy 3 years from retirement though, or our future is doomed even more.

The high post playmaking is something the Rockets will never be able to emulate these years barring a total rebuild.

There is no player like Draymond who plays above the rim and underneath it too. Or the late Boris Diaw.

Drummond is trying to playmake, and it looks awkward af.

Doubt he has much trade value because his sample size is so small. Would more than likely be a throw in.

GS has multiple finals appearances and multiple rings. They also always had decent centers and a badass PF. You can’t compare what we ran out on the court last night to GS small ball.

Anyway, even GS played a center at least 1 minute of every game. They also kept a balance of inside game and 3’s despite have two of the best 3 point shooters in the league.

DanTony takes some things to the extreme. Not playing anyone over 6’5” is ridiculous. Especially when the opponent has PZ.

Fortunately we have 2 MVP’s to cover up some coaching mistakes which worked against an injured Dallas team. It won’t get it done in the playoffs though.

We need to find some depth at the center position. DanTony’s actions show that we have 3 unplayable backup centers. WTF!???

He didn't, in terms of retirement. Forgot another word.

hakeem94 channelling 'holic's logic about why players don't play :D

i wish that logic would've worked with Harrell in playoffs leading up to the Paul trade.

Harden played well, but I agree with Tinman, we would have struggled with Luka and probably lost the game.

James looks tired and lacks explosion. He probably is sad too with Kobe's loss. Nevertheless, he did play well.

We love you James, we want you to succeed and be happy.

So its D'Antoni's fault that no player on roster except for the centers are over 6'6?

    Or that Capela is injured?

Or that Nene is unofficially retired?

Or that Tyson is decrepit and only play 8 minutes every 4th game?

Or that Harty is a liability in most matchups?

How bad is your memory, it was only 2 games ago that MDA played Harty 6 minutes vs. Jazz and Rockets were outscored by 11.

Or do you believe Harty could stay in front of the unicorn for even a second vs. Mavs????

D'Antoni is playing smallball because he has ZERO options with current personnel makeup.

    CF needs to learn basketball.

I think AG can be similar or better than both Draymond or Diaw in MDA system.

In fact, the narrative that MDA does not care about defense is pure BS. MDA with Suns or Rockets when contending in postseason has never had less than top 20 defense.

MDA developed many good positionless defenders with Suns:

    Shawn Marion 6'7
    Raja Bell 6'5
    Boris Diaw 6'8
    Joe johnson 6'7
    Leandro Barbosa 6'3
    Jim Jackson 6'6
    James Jones 6'8
    Jalen Rose 6'8
    Bo Outlaw 6'8
    Grant Hill 6'8

MDA actually had a more stable roster than he has had with Rockets.

I saw a WIN, is that not what YOU saw?
You say it's not going to work in the playoffs. I didn't realize this was a playoff game
Enjoy the W. You don't have to mad about EVERY game. We WON
