Yeah it was necessary. Utah is a good team. We needed to win one more so this was pivotal for closing out the series. I hope whatever you missed it for was worth it. (job/event/whatever it was)

didn't the team echo the same sentiments last year and the media absolutely ran with it?

The Rockets haven't played well in the last three games. Of course, the Jazz had something to do with that, but the Rockets just don't look in sync. Harden tightens up during the playoffs. He is good for a game or two in a series, but the opponent's innovative defenses bother him and his efficiency drops. The bench was better, but they couldn't have been worse. Perhaps we match up better against the Warriors or at least that is what I am hoping. We are not exactly "rolling" into the next series, but a few days off can do wonders.

For sure. It would have still been 4-2 or 4-3 to the Rockets.

EG was a beast this series. Hope he continues to ball out against the Warriors. We need his 3s.

And there's also a chance we would've swept them with a healty Capela...that did make a huge difference in game 4.

It was dinner. Im actively avoiding Rockets playoff games as I love the team a bit too much apparently and will throw things at my tv if Harden starts bricking or starts playing scared. Im glad they won I wont be watching the Warriors series. I think its best for everyone who lives with me for me to love Houston from a far. Good Win Go Rockets lol

Just like they will this year. No love lost between these two teams.

I’m one to think that this series with the Jazz will be a positive moving forward. I don’t think the Warriors will defend nearly as well as the Jazz did.

Will the Rockets have real practice these next few days? I remember them not doing that during the season to limit minutes for guys.

James had a horrible first quarter but finished the game strong. I'm not going to take the percentages seriously if I'm watching him finish games. Despite bad shooting games, he led us to victory in games 3 and 5.
