ClutchFans Game Thread: Jazz @ Rockets 4/24/2019 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 5)

Finally we are through against the old rivals, the Utah Jazz. We have to play a lot better against GS. A special shout out to the veteran Nene, he came through when we needed him.

Question when did it become legal to screen a defender trying to recover from a pick/hand off or to a shooter. and push him forward as if an offensive tackle?

I see this all over the NBA now, even the Nene was doing it on a few plays.

 

I'm impressed with the defense. I'm impressed Rockets beat them 4-1. I'm impressed, without the help of the refs they still dispatched one of the best defenses in the league. Hell yeah I'm impressed. It's not my problem Utah missed so many shots. When you play a team 5 times in a row they are going to pick up some stuff.

Wanna bet nothing gets said about Mitchell's 4/22? Yet, Harden gets criticized when he shoots 10/26. Yeah, 3/12 from the 3pt line isn't great.... but he was 7/14 from 2pt makes.

 

I really wish we could, I love like maybe half our posters, the randoms that show up on a shitty quarter or love watching the Rockets lose, and are nowhere to be found after a win kind of suck. Like I said before, good intelligent criticism is welcomed, bullshit posts though might as well go to the Jazz Failman forum or GS Worriers forum (in fact I'm certain any team not named the Houston Rockets would suffice).

I mean some of these posters must hate their lives.... Just go outside or something

 

Im glad the Rockets won but why is MDA overplaying the starters still? I didnt see this game was it necessary?

 

The Jazz are probably the best defensive team in the league. The only reason we blew them out in the first 2 games is because they played like complete trash on the defense.

 

is there a schedule for rockets warrior series ? with different scenarios .... im hoping it works out with my work schedule so i can watch them

 

In the playoffs you play teams to their scouting report in the playoffs. Jazz don't have shooters who can hit shots consistently. You try to make them hard, but you give them the 3 if you must.

Warriors have a different team, because you have to out efficiency them by forcing them to take 2's instead of 3 pt' they hit at a high rate. Also they will let Draymond shoot those as many times as he likes. He is horrible from 3 point this year.
