It was a classic makeup call. Howard threw down Freeland to grab the missed FT before and it was called on Freeland.

Instead of makeup calls, how about just calling the fouls properly next time? kthx.

This revives for me the question: why does the NBA not provide a process for reviewing blatantly wrong foul calls like this one during a game. especially for playoff games.

Also the same thing happened with the officiating last night as happened in that early March game which the Rockets barely pulled out in overtime. First half, the officiating ridiculously in Blazers' favor, and then in the second half became more even handed.

    Here is the video.

It was obvious to everyone except for whatever reason, those 3 refs. I mean, plainly obvious during the game live, not after a replay and review. When is hugging and holding your guy a foul on the person being held and hugged? I've never seen it called that way before.

I like the NFL coach challenge rule. We should have something like that in the NBA.

I think they were tired (as were the Blazers).

I assume everyone agrees that one makes more mistakes when fatigued.

That 1/2 second slower when executing a move makes a big difference,
esp when playing at this level.

Luck comes with confidence. They didn't lack any, and we had none in the big moments.

Seems like the game plan v. Howard is simply to flop at will to break his in-game rhythm.

Beverly plays a lot more minutes than lin. beverly will not do well playing with the bench players coming off the bench. Beverly depends on the other starters to make the points so that he can concentrate to play aggressive defense and all the dirty works no one seems to do. If you think Beverly is a true PG, he is not. I do like his aggressiveness. The way he plays, he will be more prompted for future injuries.

    This.

Bev blew his assignment on Lillard.

Aldridge went for nearly 50pts and 20rebs (seriously no game plan on him in the finals???)

Harden's 3pt with 17secs left and down 1 with no Lopez or Aldridge... SMFH

And that f****** last play... so selfish Harden... ISO Harden... again SMFH

Why wasnt Asik subbed for Howard during hack a howard? He has shown he can hit FTs under pressure in the finals + he would give us rim protection!!!

Lin was on fire in OT. Why stop and go ISO Harden?!

With a better coach that can properly harness and focus our talented squad, we could be a contender. Now, we are just pretenders.

Do you think refs will make up some calls for Rocs in following games?
