Correct or what if we trade him to a place that won't start him and he stuck in the same place he is now? Anytime a player has a no-trade right it makes it VERY diffcult to deal that player.

As DD mentioned he signed with the Cavs. He ain't beating out Mo Williams.

So you think Lowry would agree to a trade to the Cavs to backup Mo Williams where he could be the starter right here next year? Point being, it's his choice not Morey's whether he goes anywhere, no one knows if he'd accept a trade to destination X which makes it harder to deal the guy.

He can't be traded back to the Cavs per the article... so he'd have to be able to start elsewhere.

Wait for it? Wait for it???

Kevin Martin and Budinger plus Patrick Patterson

    for Danny Granger.

Its doable and good for both teams. We get a true close in the fourth quarter. Get better defensively. Get more size. Granger adds rebounds. They get youth, Martin to replace Grangers scoring, and more scoring off the bench.

Scola, Brooks, and Hill to Sacramento for Cousins, Landry, and Whiteside.

Don't see any way we trade Ish for a second rounder. First rounder, yeah, Morey may do it. But he'll make sure it is non-lottery protected. Ish is undrafted and on a cheap, cheap deal. And his value hasn't crested yet.

You are crazy if you think Sac would trade Cousins for anything, much less the package you listed.

IMHO yes, unless we acquire Rubio... ;)

I agree, Cousins isn't going anywhere anytime soon, if he keeps his mouth shut.

Pfft.... He knew Morey would match, signing the offer sheet from Cleavland was just a cash grab.

Next your going to tell me Carl Landry really wanted to be a Bobcat.

But everyone thought the Cavs were going to be fine, still a borderline playoff team. After all, they had the supporting cast from a 60-win team.

I don't think there will be any big trade this season. Maybe go after Randolph or Thabeet, but other than that I don't see it this year.

I think Morey is holding assets until the next perennial all-star player becomes available. I love granger and iggy but they are not even that.

your opinion is wrong. brooks is the starter w/ both on the team. game's on the line, one possession left, who ya got: brooks or lowry? the answer to that question seems obvious enough to me. brooks is my starter.

Not sure about that, Lowry is like 100% on buzzer beaters

jopatmc, you seem like a cool guy . . . but please stay off the crack.

An unprotected first rounder for Ish Smith???

Every single GM in the league would laugh you off the phone if you so much as mentioned that as a seemingly viable trade proposal. Hell, I honestly don't think that Daryl Morey could keep from cracking up before he uttered that proposal to an opposing GM.

Ish Smith is a nice player. Heck, I don't mind having him stick around. Like you say, he's on a cheap contract (rookie minimum this year, with a team option at the league minimum for next year), and he's got some talent. But NO ONE values him that highly.

    No one.
