Donatas Motiejunas CANNOT BE TRADED until sometime in August.

So if a Dwight Howard trade happens before August 1, he will NOT be part of it.

Meaning it's a Dwight-Donuts combo for us.

@clutchfans: As far as the Rockets actually trading Motiejunas? "You don't have to worry about that." Wink.

 

I don't see Daryl trading the only 7fter on the roster and a player with considerable upside in a package to Orl without a commitment from Howard. Even if this drags on into Aug, I'm confident he gets taken off the table. The way Morey and the coaches talk about D-Mo, I'm sure they invision him next to DH.

 

Guy can flat out play, I'd really like to see him go up against a big man and be as fluid and non hesitant. Passes off as a guy who will bump and grind in the paint.

That type of energy tends to rub off on the team, just think about parsons and D on the floor together. Straight H U S T L E.

Slow night for Motie day 2, but all good.

Growing pains indeed.

Hopefully a day off will bring the wind and energy back.

Motiejunas was given a memo before the game: "play like crap so Orlando doesn't ask for you."

Keep in mind, they can announce a trade and then consummate it at a later date when Motiejunas can be traded.

 

Usually all rookies have that inconsistency in their game. Especially early on. But he has ton of potential but it will take time. He is good but he's not going to dominate his first year. Right now this guy is a seed and with time, he will grow.
