Sad news. Bill is a freaking legend. Not having him around is going to suck.

    I'm legitimately sad.

I grew up hearing his voice as I watched the team I love.

Him and Calvin were gold together. I like Bull.

    Drex is meh.

I will miss Bill greatly. He has been a Rocket fixture/legend for so long, but everything must come to an end and I think that it's time. I hope he enjoys retirement and still pops in to say hi from time to time.

    But PLEASE no Craig Ackerman!
I stopped listening to the radio broadcasts because I couldn't stand listening to his idiotic sayings (among other things).

    Les! Please bring back Calvin!
    Anyone but CA!
I was about to say I'd even take SAS over Ack, but that would be too much like this presidential election.

Props to Bill for realizing it was time. He was great for so many years.

Bill Worrell had been a fixture for so long in Houston Sports Broadcasting. Good luck in his retirement.

Bill is the best. Bummer to see him go, and it really is too bad we will never hear Bill & Calvin again.

CA is a very good play by play guy, this is probably the only good decision made by Les in the last decade.

    Yesssssssss

Sorry, i realise it isn't popular for those who live in Houston, but to anyone else, Worrell is the worst. Love the Rockets and thrilled to hear Bill won't be spoiling it for me with his ignorance any longer!

Lets get JVG to do the color.

How much of a treat would that be.

Bill Worrell's voice has been coming into my ears since my first human memory.

I will miss the man immensely. It's probably the right time for him to hang it up but it will be an alien experience for me to have Rockets basketball called by anyone else.

I do believe that when I'm 90 and I think of Rockets basketball, I will still hear the voice of Bill Worrell.

Loved Bill but I was a Gene Petersen guy. Ackerman did a nice job replacing Geno, so we will survive.

Thank you, Bill for your service to our community via your excellent broadcasting skills.

    Sad to see Bill leave.

To Craig's credit though, he's a bad ass play by play. Let's see how he adapts to big screen.

Considering that he was the Rockets commentator for 30 years, I'd say this qualifies. I am very sad to see him go.
