[ClutchFans] Aaron Brooks is back with the Houston Rockets

I think he could be a great backup 2 to give Harden more rest during his recovery from the sore knee.

 

You know it is good if AB does get any minutes

Nobody has been released yet, but yes, the Rockets will have to waive somebody.

 

That's assuming he keeps his substitution patterns the same. McHale's pretty much changed it every time we switched the roster(TD by himself, Beverly and TD, Beverly himself). He might spread out the minutes in a different way now. We could see a rotation that consists of Lin/Harden/Brooks/Beverly all getting minutes.

 

Watching AB0's highlights got me pumped.

 

he will pair well with harden, he is gonna get his minutes. Brooks is not for long term, not for Lin or Bev backup, its for playoff, front office getting really serious this time

 

A little surprised from your opinion, I'd thought you appreciated good point guard play. =/

sucks James Anderson will probably end up being waived

 

It looks like Greg Smith was pushed out of the rotation (McHale played Garcia instead in Dallas). I could see Brooks taking those James Anderson/Francisco Garcia minutes at the two.

 

Can't wait for the inevitable "Start AB over Jeremy Lin" when JL shoots a 2 with his foot on the line.
Great signing - think he should be the #2 if he's anywhere near where he used to be.

 

So can brooks play in the play-offs or no? Also, i bet its honeycutt who gets cut. Anderson knows the system, proved he can play and also(im sure) has chemistery with the team.

 

I get the feeling he's been brought in as a backup 2, and emergency PG.

Given our up and down, chuck the 3 style, And our general lack of defense he will fit in perfectly.

He can give us a chance to cut Harden's minutes or play PG when Lin has one of his super brick games.

15-20 min depending on game circumstances. Beverly better not lose minutes.
