Ivica Zubac really reminds me of a younger Marc Gasol. I really think he has All Star type potential. Excellent Free Throw shooter for a big man, I wish Daryl would've gotten him with Beasley, contract and all, Zubac is special. Moves quick for a big guy, run the fast break really well. Jerry West knows prospect talent, traded for Kobe Bryant on draft day. Jerry believed Kobe is special, he is right.
Kobe forced his way to LA. He was going there regardless of what Jerry West though. Not taking anything away from him, but this was just another guy forcing his way to Hollywood regardless of how their FO was constructed.

Wow I thought this guy was at least worth a first round pick? Being that he was a first overall 2nd round pick two years ago and is still only 21 years old.
This is for competition and LeBron orchestrated this to see zubak and Beasley in the playoff run for the 8th seed. LeBron wants kuzma and jervale magee to go head to head with Beasley and zubak in the last games of season during playoff race!
Without Zubac, the Lakers are doomed to repeat recent history. Zion would like to play for them and become a nice trade chip for Davis.
Not saying he can't be good. He's still young and has room to grow into a solid role player with consistency. I just don't think he's that good yet, which is what I said, he's ok.
I'm not surprised they're letting him go. I expected him to go in a package for Anthony Davis or somebody. I am SHOCKED they are just using him as a sweetener to be rid of Beasley (who is expiring and they could just buy out if he's that big of a problem in the locker room).
