No, Drummond is borderline unplayable in the high leverage games (i.e. The Playoffs) due to his free throw shooting.

I'd rather hope Capela continues to develop.

Capela is good in the Amar'e Stoudemire role.

Rockets probably feel good about Isaiah Taylor as point guard depth & Troy Williams as small forward depth.

Thought the BAE would be used on backup PF even if Melo trade went thru......but oh well.
Ilyasova resigned with Hawks. So not many options for backup PF. Ariza it is.

That means literally ****ing nothing. Such a stupid ****ing and irrelevant point to make.

Anyways, he's not worth the max or anywhere near it. Sell high.

    Try Tucker. Tucker is our backup F. We'll play 3 F's-- Ariza, Anderson(hopefully Melo), Tucker. 3 guards Paul/Harden/Gordon. 2 Centers Capela/Nene.

    Possibly

Rockets may re-sign Troy Williams (I believe they will). Troy was interviewed after summer league game
vs Suns. He mentioned being ready to play next to Harden (and CP3 I believe).

    According to 82games.com

    Troy Williams played
SF 2% (of Rockets small forward mins for the season)
PF 1% (of Rockets power forward mins for the season)

Tucker played with the Suns (16/17)
SF 34% (of Suns small forward mins for the season)
PF 6% (of Suns power forward mins for the season)

Tucker played with the Raptors (16/17)
SF 12% (of Raptors small forward mins for the season)
PF 2% (of Raptors power forward mins for the season)

    Ariza played with Rockets (16/17)
SG 1% (of Rockets shooting guard mins for the season)
SF 54% (of Rockets small forward mins for the season)
PF 14% (of Rockets power forward mins for the season)

I personally feel more comfortable with Ariza backing up Ryno. Until the addition of other/ another player(s)

Capella is our only consistent rebounder and rim protector.

Consistently bad you mean. Lady, we were dead last in rim protection last season. Gave up 20 field goals made at 67% shooting at the rim. Gave up mote dunks and layups that every other team in the Association. If that's consistent I want no part of it.

Folks, with the acquisition of Paul and hopefully his good health, our playmaking issues from last season are behind us. But nothing has changed with our rim protection UNLESS Clint takes a GIANT LEAP forward in his defensive awareness and response quickness. That is our Achilles heel. It is where the Warriors will kill us unless something changes this summer. Either Clint has to take a huge leap up or we have to go get a real rim protector to have any chance at beating the Warriors.

More of a trade asset than a building block. A building block has to be more than a good role player.

    Melo to Cleveland
    Love to Houston
Whatever a third team has, plus other assets to New York
New York sends Melo out and whatever they get back...

This way Houston has a big that can shoot the 3, Melo gets to a place he wants to be, Cleveland gets the player that they want... But everyone is saying that Melo is what he once was and will be for another 6 years (and that is not the case).

Mellowing of Melo deal, signing of Black and now his tweet " I am all ears". Goodbye Capela, thank you for your service.

Less protective DeAndre but offensively a bonafide option.

In the literal basketball sense I don't think we are building with Capela, what he does can be replaced. But my opinion is to keep him, he plays his role very well. But if the right trade comes by anything is possible.

Outside of Harden and Cp3, everybody is an "Tradable"
