What do you guys think about his game? He's a 6'8 SF/PF but he had stretches during the Kentucky/Wichita State game were he took over.
I think he is the truth and will go fairly early (sorry for horrible pun). His ability to create/create space for himself and get good shots off as a result was very impressive, IMO. I think Wichita St. would've had a shot if they'd avoided that 2nd timeout at the end, pushed the ball and managed to get the ball into his (or Ron Baker's) hands. I'm high on him, if that isn't clear.
For what it's worth (nothing lol) -- <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Early&src=hash">#Early</a> is giving us what we thought we would see from <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Wiggins&src=hash">#Wiggins</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Parker&src=hash">#Parker</a> in the tourney he is <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23seasoned&src=hash">#seasoned</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23mature&src=hash">#mature</a> & a <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23lotterypick&src=hash">#lotterypick</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23NCAA2014&src=hash">#NCAA2014</a></p>— Rick Fox (@Rickafox) <a href="https://twitter.com/Rickafox/statuses/447842945253646336">March 23, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>This Early kid is a lottery pick for sure!!!!</p>— Patrick Beverley (@patbev21) <a href="https://twitter.com/patbev21/statuses/447841359840681984">March 23, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Yeah. I think he'll drop because he's a senior and kind of a tweener. Good talent, for sure, though. I certainly could be wrong, but I think he needed a deeper tournament run to help boost his stock.
Great thread because I was watching part of that game yesterday, really noticed him on some fast break drives and was like, "When is this kid going in the draft?" I looked him up on DraftExpress Top 100 and was surprised he was in the 80's on the ranking. Today he is #38 on there. Go figure. He definitely looked intriguing.
Been hearing a lot about him this weekend, but haven't seen him yet. Will make Wichita State a must see.
They're out of the tourney now... you'll probably have to wait until next year to see him on a crappy NBA team.
Here was the dunk on the fast break... ... and his full highlights from yesterday's game (31 points)
LOL! I just assumed that the hype on Twitter about him was because he lead his team to victory. This may be counter intuitive, but that the masses raved about him, a Wichita State player, in a losing effort is more impressive to me than if they had won. Just will have to check out highlights when I get home.
I legit think he could have lead them to victory if they'd gotten him the ball on the final possession. If you believe in moral victories, this was one -- both teams played truly outstanding, championship-caliber basketball. Best of the tournament so far, IMO.
