Moments after OBrien told the media he wasn't sure on CJ but might be out a "little longer" than the other guys, the Texans put CJ on IR.
So they will now be without their best TE and 2nd best receiving target overall for at least 2 months.....when it rains it pours and Houston has had a ton of rain lately.
Why is it stupid? Because they shouldn't sign a guy because he might get injured? Do we even need to field a team?
they could apply and be granted an exception which if approved doesn't count against the cap and i'm sure they insured his contract (some can insure 40-70% of contract) which will help pay it off. settlement also possible if career is over for whatever reason. all that said, it really doesn't matter that they just extended him. regarding him getting hurt... you could argue grown ass men dressing up funny, chasing and hitting each other while holding a funny looking ball is all pretty stupid.
Oh my goodness. This is setting up to be a disaster of a season. And since we don't have 1st or 2nd round draft picks next year, we don't even benefit from sucking. Now I know how Brooklyn Nets fans feel.
I just hope injuries aren't an excuse to retain Brien and Smith. Not much hope though, especially Ricky.
Sadly enough, the team would have probably been better off if they had spent their first round pick on an O lineman and used this season to tank in order to draft a QB in the next draft.
I met CJ last year and dude was literally dumb as a box of rocks. Does he suffer from some sort of mental disorder because that boy didn't seem right.
