So I'm eligible for a free phone upgrade. Question is, is it worth taking advantage of or is it a ploy by Cingular to keep my services? I definitely need a new phone (I broke my Moto V551 3 months ago and have been using a Go Phone with my SIM card since...stop laughing). I have to get a 2-year contract for a new phone (like everyone else). Basically, should I go ahead and get an adequate phone (like the Moto L6) to use for a few months when I plan to buy a 'smart' phone later? Or should I just forget about it since I don't want to be stuck in the 2-year contract? I'd love a BlackJack but don't need it; wouldn't mind music capabilities. Basically, I think it's best to get a phone to use for the next 6-12 months and upgrade on my own to a phone past the iPhone and equivalent releases. What should I do?
You can always get a new phone with Cingular if you re-up with a two year deal. I just got a Treo680 for $75 after the new two year deal. If you're happy with the service, go for it.
I bought my girlfriend a BlackJack for xmas and it is a really super cool phone. If I didnt have a PDA, I would have one.
