weird. "has the capacity to make..." i wonder where they got the expertise? or are they using captured weapons previously stockpiled somewhere in syria?

    http://www.voanews.com/content/cia-islamic-state-has-chemical-weapons/3187923.html

[rquoter]The director of the Central Intelligence Agency said Islamic State fighters in Syria have used chemical weapons.

John Brennan said there are a number of instances where the terrorist group has used "chemical munitions on the battlefield." His comments were featured in excerpts from the television news show 60 Minutes. The full interview with Brennan will air Sunday on CBS.

Brennan told the news show the jihadist group has the capacity to make small quantities of chlorine and mustard gas.

The CIA director also warned that IS may be looking to sell the chemicals to the West. Brennan said "there's always the potential for that."

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons oversaw the removal and elimination of the chemical weapons of the of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government after a 2013 sarin attack outside Damascus that much of the international community blamed on the Assad's government.

Since then, OPCW has warned that chemical warfare, banned under international law, has continued on both sides of the Syrian conflict.[/rquoter]

There is probably no other place in the world with more unaccounted for chemical weapons. Nothing would surprise me, and if true, I have little doubt of Da'esh's willingness to use them.

we have already seen this scare tactic before from cra$$o here on this bery same bbs -

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=69623

the sad part is here we are today STILL fighting this unjust continous war ongoing 13 years later.

it was just as sick then to use the blood of 9/11. now it's jumped the shark to sad.

lots of troops and innocent people killed on account of scare tactics and thirst for money. it takes a certain kind of sickness to use 9/11 blood and scare to get there. hope you made big $$ off the whoring of the twin towers.

    sick sick sick.

In an oil spill, what is more rational?

Criticizing the clean up crew or criticizing the oil company who created the oil spill?

From what I've read chemical weapons are not all that effective as weapons of war. According to RAND, on a per pound effectiveness basis chemical weapons are comparable to regular explosives.

for a while there we had to come up with a new reason to military spend. we had the military industrial complex but no war. it got desperate enough we went to bystanders and lit fhem up..granada, panama etc.

but it was a tough sell to have to do it EVERY YEAR.

now we have an open checkbook to fight in ongoing no end.

    follow the $$

this is like a bad gym or phone contract. you sold your soul to the at&t devil.

this is a long term contract war..no need for this thread to try and scare us . the original thread about iraq and wmds from 13 years was enough.

this is a lazy repost of the same war and clutch doesnt like duplicate threads

    Wait.

So Obama's Iraq foreign policy decisions had no impact in creating ISIS? ISIS being the organization that didn't exist before 2011.

    Is that what you're saying?

Seems to me that the "clean up crew" had done the work in 2006-2010.

Don't worry even without wars or needs, the military industrial complex will always find a way. The perfect example is the current Abram tank mess. For 4 years in a row now, the army have repeatedly told Congress that it does not need or want any more Abram tanks but Congress have repeatedly overruled the army's decision and spend probably close to a billion dollars now (will spend close to 3 billion by the time the project is finished) building new tanks and refurbishing old tanks that the army don't want. Ironically, this Congress plan is championed by 2 prominent deficit hawks that just happens to represent Lima, Ohio where these tanks are being built/refurbished.
