Chuck repping the Stanley Cup: the nba playoffs have been terrible

I like Hockey, but Subban and Crosby could walk into me on the street and I wouldn't know who they were. Can anyone living in Houston even name 5 NHL players ?

This series has been infinitely better than the NBA finals.

I'm taking the Kevin Durant challenge and not watching the NBA. But I had the displeasure of seeing replays on ESPN while running at the gym today. It's SUCH a change to go from watching Kevin Durant jaw at everyone and Curry taking a "nap" with a towel over his head to this real man's game. This is blood and sweat and competitiveness! Awesome game. Go Preds!

For those who haven't watched. Pittsburgh took a tough game 1 at home off of a disallowed Predators goal. They also took game 2 by a deceptively high score off of a lot of penalties by Nashville.

Nashville has returned to form in games 3 and 4 at home setting up a 2-2 tie for game 5.

Pittsburgh is essentially the best offensive team in the league (or top 3, at least) led by Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin (former #1 and.... #2? Overall picks). Jake Guentzel is the first rookie to ever lead the playoffs in goals, so far.

The Predators are an 8th seed Cinderella team who have been the best defensive team in the playoffs so far. They have a lot of good 2 way players including former Penguin James Neal, and captain Mike Fisher who is married to Carrie Underwood.

OK - you're caught up. Go watch game 5+ and you don't have to thank me.

 

Yeah, he's at the game. He was actually able to talk about the Penguins goaltenders, including Fleury who played the last few series until Murray was healthy. He seems to at least be a small time fan, claims to be a big fan.

I remember when Fox had the glowing puck. Purists hated it but I actually liked it. It's so hard to see that Puck on TV.

 

It does help to have HD nowadays instead of that grainy SD picture.

I have been watching this series and its been great its a lot more entertaining than 20 point blowouts every night that the NBA Finals have been so far.
