Good for him, since there was only Butler on the table and as a 1% chance. Don’t celebrate though Gordie, you might be moved around february.

Clutchfans thinks players are sitting around shocked that they could be involved in trade rumors.

    Wish we could re-sign him.

Most consistent scorer we have besides Harden.

I think when reports consistently come out that everyone can be had and traded for stars that it will affect a player and it’s unnecessary.

He’d be even more valuable to keep past this year on an extended team friendly contract. Otherwise he’s prime use for an expiring contract to acquire someone else at the deadline if he doesn’t extend.

So this means he's not going to pout for the first month of the season and play like ass because Morey keeps dangling him to any team offering a minor upgrade? Good to hear.

If you knew you could get March-May Gordon, it'd be the no-brainer of no-brainers to extend him. In March he shot 46.9 and 45.3 from 3 on over 9 attempts a game. For April, he shot 47.4 and 46.0 from 3, on 10 attempts a game. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/gordoer01/splits/2019

But he'll be 31, and can you really rely on him to duplicate that this year?

Gordon is just a good, professional dude. No showboating around for this guy. He earns the respect of his teammates by just being himself. That's what I'm talking about.

To be fair, it can't be easy to always hear your name in trade rumors. Although with that expiring contract, he knows he's bait.

Thing is, by all indications, he wants to stay in Houston. Until he gets an extension, the possibility of playing like azz is still there, regardless of the right things he tells the Cronic-al. And knowing Morey and the "f" word (flexibility), unless CP3 is the one traded, well.........don't know if that extension is on the way.

Harden will be 30 this season, literally a year younger than EG. EG has 3 more prime years left, enough for 1 last 3 year extension before he becomes strictly a role player.

Tell ya, as I read of other NBA players doing passive-aggressive stunts that would fit in with a clique of 12 year old girls, like having your brand manager bag on a former teammate, (https://sportsnaut.com/2019/07/kevi...sell-westbrook-nobody-wants-to-play-with-him/) the one who impresses me more and more with his professionalism, is James Harden.

Sure, he loves his strip clubs, and he could stand to move more off the ball, but it's refreshing to read about a guy who just kills it every night and rarely complains to the press about this and that. Lots of players would revolt if their personal trainer, or whatever Irv did for him, got abruptly canned by the team. Harden hasn't, so far as we know.

Or maybe I'm selectively deaf? I dunno.

And how many of those prime years is he going to be hurt?

There is no possibility of him playing like azz until he signs his extension, because he is in a contract year.

Hey if Kawhi can do load management why cant EG? The important thing is he shows up to ball by playoff time which he has done for the past 3 years.

Good point. My coffee hadn't kicked in, otherwise that might have occurred to me.

To be fair, he has been really healthy in Houston. The injury prone Gordon from Clippers and Pelicans is no more (hope this doesn't jinx it) haha

When the FO routinely (and very openly) treats the first two-thirds of the regular season like an extended offseason, don’t expect each player’s psyche to play along.
