[Chron] Rosas promoted to Rockets Director of Player Personnel

Gersson Rosas was promoted Wednesday to Rockets Director of Player Personnel, succeeding Dean Cooper who left the team last month to join the Minnesota Timberwolves’ coaching staff.

Rosas, a University of Houston graduate and former graduate assistant with the Cougars, will be in his fifth season with the Rockets. He was elevated to Director of Scouting last season after three seasons as the team’s Personnel Video Coordinator/Personnel Scout.

The Rockets also announced the hiring of Arturas Karnisovas as Director of Global Scouting & International Affairs. Karnisovas, the former European player of the year after his college career at Seton Hall, played professionally in Italy, Greece, Spain and France and was a two-time Olympic Bronze medalist for Lithuania.
