Not much of a surprise I guess.

I don't think any coach could have gotten the job without agreeing to put Finch on his staff.

 what a way to announce this move... Where it gets lost in the excitement of the draft. But true, Finch was forced onto the coaching staff, and Adelman said NO....

But I am glad Finch is on the team, because he speaks the language of Morey, stats and numbers.

It wasn't so much Adelman saying NO to Finch but being loyal to his assistant coaches.

Doesn't he speak the language of Adelman's offense, too? Isn't that more important to Morey?

I'm glad McHale can finally be part of Finch's staff now. Welcome aboard!

he learned how to implement and coach adelmans offense while coaching the vipers. he did this well enough for the question to be asked "why pay adelman all this money when finch can do it for a fraction of that salary?"

that was a big factor that made adelman replaceable in the eyes of the organization. so when he didn't want to listen to morey about stats, morey found someone that would listen and run adelman's offense.

I doubt the money was the issue. I get the impression that Morey will not tell a coach who to play, but wants someone that will listen to his 'suggestions'.
