I agree with you. I am just wondering what Morey thinks. Are Chris Paul and Paul George mutually exclusive? Will Chris Paul give us a discount in order to field a championship team? Do we really have a chance to get LeBron?

Morey may want to weigh all these factors before he ties himself to CP3 long term. He's already got a dead weight in Ryno for another two years. I guess a lot will depend on how CP3 fares in the playoffs. If we win or get really close, he might think it's worth going all in just for another chance to win it all.

If somehow the Warriors regime would just topple over, he absolutely would. We would absolutely be legit championship contenders without Golden State, maybe we still are, but damn I wish they weren't so stacked.

Why are we debating this? Morey has said on multiple occasions that Paul has already agreed to a 5 year deal.

    When was that said?

As I noted previously, if guys like Tucker and Luc keep coming for discounts because CP3 is here then he's worth the full max.

Harden needs CP3 about as much as Curry needs GREEN, THOMPSON, and DURANT.
Harden needs CP3 about as much as LeBron needs LOVE, IRVING...err THOMAS
Harden needs CP3 about as much as LeBron needs WADE, BOSH.

Good players need more good players for a chance to win a championship. Correct.

After seeing harden play yesterday, send him a pdf format message and tell him to sign now.

CP3's game can age well because there no difference between 33 y/o brain and 38 y/o brain so age is not a factor. The one and only factor is health. Do you give an injury prone star that kind of deal?!

...There may have been some promises made to CP3 upon requesting a trade to Houston. And, whatever CP3 signs, he'll be thinking about adding one of his close friends in free agency. That's a major plus when you have this guy...nearly everyone at any position wants to play with him.

He gave Ryan Anderson an 80 million dollar deal, so I would say definitely maybe.

Everything I have read says CP was very impressed with Morey and his ability to be flexible. So I like the sound of this VERY MUCH!

I feel like a big part of CP leaving the Clippers was "GM DOC" not doing enough to fill out roster or making trades to better the team.

Its not looking too good now. I think he has to do it, but giving older players who are becoming more injury prone max money is risky.

It’s better than the 80 million dollar deal for a set shooter

Only real shot to beat GSW. Not too risky if goal is title.
