    D'Antoni said the Rockets are going to start resting some guys here soon, likely staggering rest days.

    We have the 1-seed locked up. Rest EVERYONE. Now is the ONLY time to play Joe Johnson. We should rest Joe Johnson for the WHOLE playoffs.

    This.

    Seriously, if MDA wants to dole out playoff minutes to Joe, he should start getting in 20 min this games to get into some kind of rhythm.

    I just don't get why Gerald doesn't get anymore minutes...

    While I think we pretty much have it wrapped it is not a foregone conclusion we will have HC against the Raptors. At this point we can only lose 4 games to lock out the raptors and I only see one tough game on the Raptors schedule which is a road game against the Cavs. But yea. Time to start resting as long as we don't yack up games like Utah did against the Hawks.

    We don't have the #1 seed locked up. We still have to actually win these easy games. Remember, the real issue is the Raptors, not the Warriors. Toronto may lose no more than 1-2 games the rest of the way. Which means the Rockets could have to win as many as 6 of their final 11. Here's their remaining schedule:

    DET
    NOP
    ATL(B2B)
    CHI
    PHX
    @sas
    WSH
    POR
    OKC
    @LAL
    @SAC(B2B)

    Will they win 6+ of those games? They should. But I'd argue only 4 of those(ATL, CHI, PHX, @SAC) are cakewalks. The rest are ones where they'll actually have to play well in order to win. Also, you don't wanna put yourself in a situation where those games at the Lakers and Kings are must-wins in order to lock up the best record. Take care of it beforehand so that when you rest guys, absolutely nothing is on the line in those games.

    I always felt that this 9 game stretch (with 8 at home) was when/if we decided to rest guys.

    Not only because we are likely home a long time but also because of the competition which is overall much weaker.

    Also, I always believed they would rather rest a couple weeks prior to playoffs and then use the last game or so to get into “rhythm” with less minutes heading into the post season.

    Time to test our depth.

    Now would be a good time for Wright to get back from injury...

    It's the only real way to make sure rust doesn't happen. I guarantee you all 4 Warriors stars will be playing at least 3 games together before the first round.

    Good. These games are meaningless compared to the playoffs. Hamstring injuries can easily be exacerbated. CP3 should probably take a week off, then play his way back into shape.

    Good, glad to see that CP is going to rest that hamstring injury. Hopefully we can get him a solid 7-10 days of rest.

    The B2B at the end of the season can be troubling. I would like to see them rested against LAL and play at least half mins against SAC to keep from getting too comfortable/rusty/lackadaisical.

    Last 3 regular season games are good games to give the full playoff roster some burn, maybe for a half.

    Now it is good time to rest these old legs.
